read KARINA ver!
또 모르지 내 마음이
저 날씨처럼 바뀔지
날 나조차 다 알 수 없으니
Who knows?
My mind might just change like the weather
Even I don't know myself.
New years eve, what was so special about this thing anyways? It's just another year after all... Heeseung thought, swirling the pen around his fingers as he studied or rather just stared at the book on the desk. His mind wandered back to his orignal thought, you. He closed the book, huffing in frustration, you must be in at the party that you were going on and on about earlier, your eyes twinkling in enthusiasm as you described the dress you were planning on wearing later, "shit..." He mutters under his breath as he remembers the picture you showed him, a mirror selfie of you in that pretty baby pink, spaghetti strapped dress that stopped right above your knee. The dress was modest, just like you but it was enough, enough to drive a man or him, crazy. "You have to be there hee!" He remembers the way you chimed looking up at him with those damn doe eyes as you tugged on his sleeve and then he saw your face fall when he declined, "Can't Y/n, I have..." He trails off getting lost in your eyes for a moment before he catches himself, clearing his throat as he shakes his head "...I have to study" That cute pout on your face as you huffed before starting about how he should enjoy himself and that it's new years eve, which he didn't pay any attention to because he was too busy staring at your cute face. "what am I even doing?" He mumbles as he finds himself standing in front of his closet, staring at the pile of clothes.
그게 뭐가 중요하니
지금 네게 완전히
푹 빠졌단 게 중요한 거지
That doesn't matter
What matters is
I'm into you right now.
God, why did he have to be such a coward? He thinks, his hands clenching on his sides as he stands outside Jake's house. The feeling of his heart beating rapidly and the loud music from inside only adding to his nervousness, he had been to his friend's house countless times for countless parties, then why is he so nervous today? "Oh? Aren't you a little too early?" Heeseung's met with Jake's sarcasm as he walks in the house, he rolls his eyes as they hug, Jake pulls back before taking a look at Heeseung, "You look good! But man you're so late! I thought Y/n said you had to study or something" Heeseung sighs, "Yeah I..." Heeseung trails off, he takes a deep breath before continuing "Jake, I think I'm gonna tell her..." He says softly, looking at Jake as if asking him if it's a good idea. Jake eyes widen, "Really? Don't tell me that's the only reason why you came here..." Jake gives him an aww expression before continuing, "You know what? She hasn't been enjoying herself at all today and I think...its because you weren't here" Heeseung raises an eyebrow, nibbling on his bottom lip nervously, "Really? You...you think so?" Jake flashes him a smile as he nods, "Really bro, and it's new years eve! Don't you think it's the perfect time to tell her how you feel? And it's..." Jake takes a look at the time on his phone before turning to Heeseung, "It's almost 12..." He says softly, Heeseung's eyes widen slightly, he turns to look at the stairs then back at Jake who just nods at him, patting his back. Heeseung mouths a 'thank you' before making his way up the stairs. He steps out on the rooftop, his eyes scanning among the people to look for you, oh. There you are, and ofcourse you're with Jay. He has a hand on your waist as you have yours on his shoulder. The beating of his heart is faster than the loud song playing as he watches you with him, he stays there, the ache in his chest only increasing, but then he sees Jay lean in closer to you and it's his final straw, something inside him snaps and he's already making his way past the crowd striding towards you.
아마 꿈만 같겠지만 분명 꿈이 아니야
달리 설명할 수 없는 이건 사랑일거야
Seems like a dream but it’s definitely not
Can't explain it, it must be love.
"What?" "I said I'm leaving!" You place a hand on his shoulder as you repeat, trying to make yourself audible over the loud music. "Huh? It isn't even 12 yet Y/n!" He places a hand on your waist unconsciously as he leans in, almost yelling so that you could hear him. "I know but...the person who I was dressed up and here for isn't even here...I...I feel stupid" You say, you don't know why you told him that, but you did. Jay looks at you with an arched eyebrow, as if waiting for you to explain further, you sigh stepping back slightly before looking up at him, "Heeseung! That...stupid stupid nerd who just can't seem to understand my stupid stupid hints! I'm always trying to look good so that he sees me... trying to drop hints and make him realise that i like him but he's just doesn't get it! Always just being there...looking so...so good!" You huff, a soft pout on your lips, Jay chuckles softly shaking his head before his smile fades slowly "Y/n-" "No it's okay!" You shake your head as you start stepping back slowly. "I'll just go home and spend this stupid-" You pause as you bump into someone, before you could turn to say sorry, you feel hands grabbing your waist "Just exactly how many times did you say stupid?" You gasp softly as you hear his soft voice and feel his warm breath on your ear, moving back slightly as you turn around, there he is, in that stupid black shirt with his stupid glasses, the sound of Jay clearing his throat behind you brings you back to reality, "Uh yeah, that's what I was trying to say, you two can talk I'll just..see you guys after midnight, I guess" Jay says awkwardly before walking away, but none of you move, just standing there and appreciating each other. "Stupid nerd huh?" Heeseung breaks the silence first, a cocky smirk on his face and his head tilted to the side, oh he's giving you that cocky expression that makes you feel the butterflies in your stomach "I...I didn't mean it like that..." "I know" Heeseung sighs as he moves closer to you, his fingers gripping on your chin gently as he tilts your face up, making you face him, "You look beautiful...did you mean it angel?" Angel? Fuck. "That you're a stupid...no! Ofcourse-" He chuckles softly, cutting you off, "No, That you dress up all pretty...for me? That you like me?" Your eyes widen slightly as you look away, "Nuh-uh, look at me angel, I need to know, please." Your breath hitches at his words as you slowly turn your gaze towards him again, "I...yes..." You whisper softly and he lets out a breath he didn't even know he was holding until now, he leans in, his fingers still holding your chin as his eyes bore into yours through his stupid glasses, "Guess I am a stupid stupid nerd that I couldn't even understand that a pretty pretty girl like you liked me too huh?" Wait. Did he just say, too? "Too? h-hee..."
방금 내가 말한 감정 감히 의심하지 마
그냥 좋다는 게 아냐 what's after 'Like'?
Don't try to doubt what I just said
It's beyond like, what's after like?
As if on cue, the music suddenly dies down, "Everybody! Time for the final countdown!" Someone yells as the countdown begins 10...9...8...7... You both turn to look at each other again, Heeseung swallows, his eyes flickering to your lips then back to your eyes again,
You and I
It's more than 'Like'
L 다음 또 O 다음 난 yeah, yeah, yeah
"I like you Y/n and fuck, I think it's more than like" Your breath hitches yet again at his confession, 6...5...4...3... You somehow find your courage, arms wrapping around his neck as you look up at him,
You and I
It's more than 'Like'
What's after 'Like'?
"What's after like?" 2...1... Heeseung's hands cup your face as he leans down, capturing your lips with his own in a sweet kiss, your arms tighten around his neck, pulling him closer as you both get surrounded by loud cheers and fireworks, when you finally pull away, his thumb brushes on your cheek softly, an adoring smile on his face as he looks at you, his voice a soft whisper, "Love."

CUPID'S ARROW HAS STRUCK and after a lot of thought, I think you’re the perfect match for... HEESEUNG!
You’re both soft, sweet souls who enjoy the beauty in the little things. You mentioned being feminine, and Heeseung has this elegant charm that would absolutely vibe with you. His soft, caring nature pairs perfectly with your love for all things cute and lovely. I can already picture the two of you having some cozy, lazy afternoons together , perhaps curled up watching your favorite Ghibli films (he would definitely appreciate that!). The idea of enjoying such delicate, heartwarming moments together is honestly giving me all the feels.
Heeseung’s got that calm, steady energy that would balance your girly side perfectly. He’s thoughtful and a great listener, so I can see him being that supportive, gentle presence in your life that makes everything feel a little brighter. And I have a feeling you’d share some really deep, meaningful conversations too. Whether it’s about your favorite animals or just your dreams and thoughts, he’s always there to listen and share.

00:00 am

The front door opens as Jungwon steps inside, taking his shoes off and keeping them aside before making his way in, Jungwon's eyes falls on the clock on the table reading [00:00] as he plops down on the couch with a sigh, throwing his bag aside.
The house is quiet, too quiet. He hears the humming of the ceiling fan and rustling of paper from inside the bedroom and he knows you're in there, but he's nervous, ashamed even to face you after everything he said earlier.
"Y/n?" But there's no response from inside, he knocks again and the lack of response leaves him no choice but to open the door himself. "Shit" his heart clenches at the sight, you've fell asleep on the desk, cheeks stained with dried tears, the paper beside you stained with them too and your breathing ragged as you breathe through your mouth, nose probably blocked from all the crying.
He feels like the biggest jerk alive as he looks at you, cursing himself mentally, he hesitates before picking you up carefully so as to not wake you, without bothering to change he slides in beside you before holding you close against his chest.
Feeling a heavy yet comfortable weight on your body you start stirring awake, you can't help but giggle when you feel kisses being placed all over your face, for a second you forget everything, for a second. Jungwon pauses when he hears you giggle, his lips pressed onto your cheek as he freezes on the spot.
"Wonnie?" Jungwon swallows when he hears your sleepily voice, placing a soft kiss before pulling back to look at you. Then again, you had forgotten everything for a second. He notices the realization dawning on your face and he watches your smile fade away before you huff and look away. Normally, he would've chuckled and kissed you till you both were breathless well, normally.
"Look at me, please" Your heart skips a beat at the way he said please, his voice so soft and sincere that it made you turn your head to look at him. "I'm sorry, I'm so fucking sorry", he pulls you closer, burying his face in your hair as he keeps on mumbling apologies, occasionally kissing the top of your head. He stops after a while, pulling back to look at you, "Say something, please"
"What do you want me to say..." You say with a slight pout, you were already melting by the way he was holding you, kissing you, looking at you, but you didn't want to forgive him so easily, "You-" before you could finish, he's already pressing his lips against yours, trying to convey his apology through the kiss.
After the sweetest fifteen seconds of your life, you feel him press his forehead against yours, his eyes closed as he speaks, his voice low and sincere. "I'm sorry love, I had a bad day and took it out on you and I'm a jerk for not apologizing right away, I'm sorry for making you cry, you're my sweet girl and making you cry is the last thing I should be doing heck, I shouldn't be even doing it, I only-" You place a hand over his mouth, a soft chuckle escaping your lips as you look at him.
"Easy there kitty yang" He chuckles in relief, pulling you closer if that's even possible, "You're not...mad?" you look at him for a moment before sighing and settling against his chest, "I am a little, but I also understand" he smiles against your hair at the simple answer which reminds him of one of the reasons he fell in love with you in the first place.
"Seriously though, if I ever pull that shit again you have the full permission to kick my ass" He says with a playful grin, squeezing you gently, you giggle nodding softly, "Deal" Jungwon raises an eyebrow at you, "Damn, you didn't even have to think about it" he chuckles before starting to tickle you.
You're wiping tears from the corner of your eyes from all the tickling you received from your boyfriend, "So, never ever let me talk to you like that again yeah?" you nod, smiling softly making him smile in return, "And if I do...?"
"I kick your ass"
"Good girl"

THE ARCADE BET : NRK | 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐝𝐚𝐲 - 𝟕)
Synopsis : A friendly arcade outing with Riki turns into a playful competition. But when he makes a high-stakes bet, the line between friendship and something more starts to blur.
Warnings : Fluff, playful banter, hand holding, light teasing
Wc : 1.4k+
masterlist
The vibrant lights of the arcade reflected in Riki's excited eyes as he dragged you inside. Rows of colorful game machines and the cheerful buzz of players filled the air. The smell of buttery popcorn wafted through the room, blending with the sweet aroma of cotton candy.
“You ready to lose?” Riki asked, grinning mischievously as he scanned the games. You scoffed. “Bold of you to assume I’m not a secret arcade champion.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Really? Prove it.” Your eyes landed on a basketball hoop game near the back. “Loser buys snacks?” “You’re on.”
Riki’s competitive streak flared as the game began. The sound of bouncing basketballs filled the air, and the timer ticked down with brutal speed. You threw ball after ball, determined to wipe that smug grin off his face.
When the buzzer sounded, you checked the scoreboard. “I won” you cheered, raising your arms triumphantly. Riki squinted at the screen. “By two points. That was beginner’s luck.” “Whatever helps you sleep at night.” You grinned, poking his arm. “Now, go buy me that cotton candy.”
As promised, Riki returned with a massive swirl of pink cotton candy. He handed it to you with a playful eye-roll. “Enjoy your victory snack, champ.” “Don’t mind if I do.” You took a dramatic bite, savoring the sugary treat. “Mmm, tastes like winning.”
He laughed, shaking his head. “You’re impossible.” “You love it.” His smile faltered for a split second, and he looked away. “Yeah... maybe I do.”
The sudden shift in his tone made your heart skip. You opened your mouth to respond, but he cleared his throat, plastering on his usual grin. “Come on, let’s find something I can actually beat you at.”
The next game was a racing simulator. You both settled into the seats, gripping the steering wheels.
“This one’s all about skill” Riki declared confidently. “We’ll see.”
The race began, and the screen was filled with chaotic turns and explosions. You were neck and neck until Riki pulled off a ridiculous stunt that sent his car flying past yours.
“No way” you yelled.“Yes way” he shot back, laughing.
When the game ended, his name flashed in first place. He turned to you, smirking. “Looks like I’m back on top.” “Fine, fine. I’ll admit defeat.” You stuck out your hand for a shake. “Good game.”
He took your hand but didn’t let go right away. His thumb brushed against your skin, sending a jolt up your arm.
“You’re a surprisingly good loser,” he teased softly. “Only when the winner's worth it.”
Riki’s breath hitched, and for a moment, the chaotic sounds of the arcade faded into the background
“Hey,” he said, his voice low, “what if I made another bet?” You tilted your head. “What kind of bet?” “If I win the next game, you have to go out with me.” He responded.
Your heart raced. “And if I win?” “Then I’ll still ask you out, but I’ll buy you another cotton candy to soften the blow.” You laughed, shaking your head. “You’re ridiculous.”“Is that a yes?” “Only if you promise not to pout when I win.” You continued laughing. “Deal."
As it turned out, neither of you cared who won the next game. The bet was already decided in both of your hearts.

UNDER THE SUNLIT SKY : YJW | 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐝𝐚𝐲 — 𝟔)
Synopsis : Jungwon invites you to a small picnic date at a secluded garden he found. As the two of you share homemade food and stories under the setting sun, Jungwon reveals a surprise that leaves your heart racing.
Warnings : Fluff, playful teasing, romantic tension, lots of soft moments
Wc : 3.1k+
masterlist
The warm spring breeze rustled through the trees as you followed Jungwon down a winding trail, the faint scent of wildflowers filling the air. He walked a few steps ahead of you, a picnic basket in one hand and a confident smile on his face.
“You’re being really mysterious about this whole thing,” you teased, quickening your pace to match his. “It’s not that mysterious,” he chuckled. “I just thought it’d be fun to do something different today.” Your curiosity piqued. “Different how?” “You’ll see,” he said with a playful glint in his eyes.
After a few more minutes of walking, Jungwon led you to a clearing surrounded by vibrant greenery. The scene was like something out of a fairytale, a secluded garden with wildflowers dotting the landscape and a serene pond shimmering under the afternoon sun.
“Ta da” Jungwon announced, spreading his arms wide. “Our secret spot for the day.” Your eyes widened in awe. “This place is beautiful, Jungwon. How did you even find it?”
“I come here sometimes to clear my head,” he admitted. “But I figured it’d be better with company.” Warmth bloomed in your chest at his words. “You really went all out, huh?” He grinned, setting the picnic basket down on a patch of soft grass. “Only the best for you.”
Within minutes, Jungwon had set up a cozy picnic spread complete with a checkered blanket, neatly arranged sandwiches, and a thermos of lemonade. The two of you sat side by side, basking in the tranquility of the moment.
“This is perfect,” you said, taking a bite of your sandwich. “Way better than anything I had planned for today.” Jungwon’s smile widened. “I’m glad you think so.”
As you ate, the conversation flowed effortlessly. From childhood stories to random musings about life. Jungwon’s laughter was contagious, and you found yourself grinning more than you had in days.
“Okay, okay,” he said between chuckles. “But you have to admit, my prank was legendary.” “You nearly gave me a heart attack,” you said, playfully shoving his shoulder. “I’m never trusting you again.” He feigned a hurt expression. “Never? That’s harsh.”
“Fine,” you relented, “I’ll trust you on picnics. But that’s it.” “Deal,” he said, holding out his pinky. You laughed, linking your pinky with his. “You’re ridiculous.” “And yet, you’re still here,” he teased.
As the afternoon sun began to dip lower in the sky, Jungwon stood up and dusted off his hands. “Come on,” he said, offering you his hand.
“Where are we going?” you asked, taking his hand and letting him pull you to your feet. “You’ll see.”
He led you to the edge of the pond, where the water glimmered like a thousand tiny diamonds. The reflection of the sky painted the surface in hues of pink and orange.
“It’s beautiful,” you whispered. Jungwon’s gaze was fixed on you, not the pond. “Yeah, it is.”Your breath caught in your throat as you met his eyes. There was something different about the way he was looking at you, like you were the most mesmerizing thing he’d ever seen.
“I have something for you,” he said softly, reaching into his pocket. Before you could respond, he pulled out a small velvet pouch and handed it to you.
“What’s this?” you asked, your fingers trembling slightly. “Open it” he encouraged, his voice gentle.
You untied the pouch and carefully tipped its contents into your hand. A delicate silver bracelet with a tiny sun charm glinted in the fading light.
“It’s beautiful,” you breathed. “I saw it and thought of you,” Jungwon admitted, his cheeks tinged with pink. “The sun reminds me of how you always light up my day, even when I don’t realize I need it.”
Your heart swelled at his words, and for a moment, you couldn’t find the right thing to say. “Jungwon, I…”
He shook his head, stepping a little closer. “Wait. I need to say this now, or I might chicken out.” Your breath caught in your throat as he continued, his voice steadier than you expected.
“I like you. A lot,” he confessed. “I’ve liked you for a while now, but I didn’t know how to tell you without messing everything up.” The sincerity in his words made your heart race. “Jungwon…”
“You don’t have to say anything right away,” he rushed on, his ears turning red. “I just wanted you to know. You’re really special to me, and I—I didn’t want to keep it to myself anymore.”
A wave of warmth washed over you. Reaching out, you took his hand in yours. “You’re special to me too, Jungwon. I was just too scared to say it first.” Relief flickered across his face, followed by a bright, breathtaking smile. “Really?” You nodded, your own smile spreading. “Really.”
For a moment, neither of you spoke, the weight of unspoken feelings finally lifted. “Does this mean I can call this our first date?” he asked, a teasing glint returning to his eyes.
Laughing, you squeezed his hand. “Only if there’s a second one.” “Deal” he said, his smile widening.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the world in golden twilight, you knew this day would be etched into your memory forever. And this time, it wasn’t just the beginning of a beautiful day, it was the start of something even more wonderful between you and Jungwon.

RECIPE OF LOVE : KSN | 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐝𝐚𝐲 — 𝟓)
Synopsis : A simple cooking class turns into a hilarious adventure when Sunoo’s playful antics and your clumsy mistakes lead to total chaos in the kitchen. Despite the mess, Sunoo’s sweet gestures make it a day you will never forget.
Warnings : Playful teasing, accidental messes, light physical touch
wc : 1.6k+
masterlist
The aroma of freshly baked bread hit your senses as you stepped into the cozy cooking studio, the soft hum of classical music playing in the background. Sunoo stood beside you, already bouncing on the balls of his feet with excitement.
“Look at this place,” he said, gesturing dramatically to the rows of polished countertops and neatly organized ingredients. “We’re basically on one of those fancy cooking shows. Gordon Ramsay, who?” You laughed, adjusting the apron the instructor had handed you. “Let’s just hope we don’t burn the place down.” “Speak for yourself,” Sunoo shot back with a grin, tying his apron in a perfectly neat bow. “I’m a natural chef. Just watch.”
The instructor began explaining the recipe (a classic pasta dish with freshly made sauce) but neither of you paid much attention. Sunoo was too busy poking fun at your overly serious expression, and you were too busy rolling your eyes at his antics.
When it was finally time to start, things went off the rails almost immediately.
“Uh, Sunoo?” you called, holding up a measuring cup filled to the brim with flour. “How much of this are we supposed to use again?” He leaned over to look, squinting at the recipe card. “It says half a cup, but honestly, who measures things? Just eyeball it.” “Are you sure?” you asked, hesitating. “Trust me,” he said, flashing a confident smile. “What’s the worst that could happen?”
vYou decided to take his advice and dumped the entire cup into the mixing bowl. A cloud of flour puffed into the air, covering both of you in a fine white powder. “Oops,” Sunoo said, blinking through the flour that now coated his lashes. “You said to eyeball it!” you protested, trying not to laugh.
“Yeah, but I didn’t mean that much,” he shot back, laughing as he grabbed a towel to wipe his face. “At least now you look like a ghost. Very spooky.” You smacked his arm lightly, but the playful smile on your face gave you away.
As the class continued, the two of you made mistake after mistake. Sunoo cracked an egg too forcefully, spilling it all over the counter, and you accidentally turned the mixer on too high, sending ingredients flying in every direction.
“Okay, this is officially a disaster,” you said, trying to scrape bits of dough off your apron. “It’s not a disaster,” Sunoo replied, holding up a slightly lopsided pile of chopped vegetables. “It’s… character. Our dish has personality.”
Despite the chaos, neither of you could stop laughing. The other students in the class sent amused glances your way, and even the instructor shook her head with a smile as she passed by your station.
When it was finally time to plate the pasta, your creation looked nothing like the sample dish. The noodles were slightly overcooked, and the sauce was too thick, but Sunoo proudly held up the plate like it was a five-star masterpiece.
“Behold,” he announced, presenting it to you with a flourish. “A culinary triumph.” You snorted. “It looks like a kindergartener made it.”
“Hey, rude,” he said, pretending to be offended. “But you know what? At least we had fun. That’s what matters, right?” You nodded, smiling at him. “Yeah, you’re right. This was way more fun than I expected.”
As the class wrapped up, you found yourselves sitting at a small table by the window, sharing bites of your imperfect creation. The evening sun cast a warm glow across the room, and for a moment, everything felt calm.
Sunoo leaned back in his chair, watching you with a soft smile. “You know,” he said, his voice quieter now, “I’m really glad you came with me today. I can always count on you to make things fun.”
You felt your cheeks warm at his words, but you tried to play it cool. “Pretty sure you’re the one who turned this into a comedy show.” “Yeah, but you were the perfect co star,” he said, resting his chin on his hand as he looked at you. His gaze lingered for a moment, and the playful energy from earlier softened into something warmer.
Before you could think of a response, Sunoo suddenly sat up straight. “Wait. I almost forgot!” “Forgot what?” you asked, watching as he rummaged through his bag.
With a triumphant grin, he pulled out a small, neatly wrapped box and slid it across the table to you. “Here. For being my partner in crime today.” You blinked, surprised. “What is this?” “Open it and find out,” he said, leaning forward with anticipation.
Carefully, you unwrapped the box, revealing a delicate charm bracelet with tiny cooking themed charms, a rolling pin, a whisk, and a little heart-shaped cookie cutter.
“It’s so cute,” you said, your voice barely above a whisper. “Sunoo, you didn’t have to…” “I wanted to,” he interrupted, his smile soft but genuine. “I saw it last week and thought it’d be perfect for today. Now you’ll have something to remember our disastrous but iconic cooking adventure.”
You stared at the bracelet, your heart swelling at the thoughtfulness behind the gesture. “Thank you, Sunoo. Really. This means a lot.” He waved a hand dismissively, but the slight pink on his cheeks betrayed him. “It’s nothing. Just… wear it when you miss me, okay? That way, you’ll always have me around to tease you.”
You laughed, slipping the bracelet onto your wrist. “You’re unbelievable.” “And yet, you still hang out with me,” he teased, standing up and holding out a hand to you. “Come on. Let’s go get some real food to make up for our sad excuse for pasta.”
You took his hand, letting him pull you to your feet. As you walked out of the studio together, the bracelet on your wrist jingled softly with every step, a sweet reminder of a day you knew you’d never forget.

Synopsis : What starts as an evening of watching movies with Sunghoon turns into something much more. Small touches, quiet conversations, and the comfort of his presence make for an unexpectedly peaceful night.

masterlist
The evening air was cool, but the warmth of Sunghoon’s apartment made you feel cozy and at ease. You had arrived at his place earlier that evening, expecting a simple movie night. Maybe some snacks, a laugh or two, and the comfort of being in good company. But as the hours passed, it felt like something more had begun to unfold.
Sunghoon had set up the living room with blankets and pillows, making it feel more like a personal little sanctuary. The dim light of the lamps illuminated the room in a soft glow, and the faint sound of rain tapping against the windows created a peaceful ambiance.
“I’ve been wanting to watch this movie for a while,” Sunghoon said, holding up the DVD case with a small grin. “I’m sure it’s not that great, but it’s been on my list.” You chuckled, nodding. “I’m in. Anything to escape reality for a while.”
As he slid the DVD into the player and got comfortable beside you on the couch, you noticed how casually he reached for the blanket and pulled it over the both of you. The simple action didn’t seem like much, but it made your heart flutter a little. There was something so calming about being this close to him, wrapped in warmth and the comfort of his presence.
The movie began, but you found yourself hardly paying attention to it. You were more aware of the small movements between the two of you, the way Sunghoon’s arm brushed against yours, the occasional nudge as he made a comment about the film, and the steady rise and fall of his chest as he relaxed into the couch.
About halfway through, Sunghoon shifted slightly, his hand brushing your shoulder as he reached for some popcorn. You glanced over at him, catching his eye for just a second before he looked away quickly, his cheeks tinged with the faintest hint of pink.
You couldn’t help but smile to yourself. There was something endearing about the way he was always so calm on the outside but would get shy over the smallest things. It made being around him even more comforting, like you could see through the cracks of his composure and into the soft side he only showed to a few.
A few moments later, Sunghoon reached for the blanket again, pulling it more securely around you both. His hand lingered on your shoulder for a brief moment, a small touch that sent a wave of warmth spreading through you. It was subtle, but the simple gesture felt so personal, so intimate. You couldn’t help but wonder if he even realized how much it meant, how much his small actions were creating a sense of closeness between you.
You tried to refocus on the movie, but your attention kept drifting back to Sunghoon. His presence was like a magnet, pulling you in without you even realizing it. You found yourself leaning slightly toward him, seeking the warmth and comfort he unknowingly offered with every subtle move.
The film played on in the background, but it felt like time had slowed down. You were content, sitting next to him in the quiet comfort of his apartment, feeling a sense of peace that you didn’t often get in the hustle of everyday life. You couldn’t remember the last time you felt this calm, this at ease with someone else.
As the movie reached a quieter scene, Sunghoon shifted again, this time turning toward you. He gave you a small smile before reaching up to adjust your hair, his fingers brushing lightly against your forehead. The touch was soft, gentle, and you could feel the care in it, the tenderness that wasn’t always evident in the way he usually carried himself.
“Your hair’s all over the place,” he said softly, his voice low but warm. “Here, let me fix it.” You didn’t even protest as he tucked a loose strand behind your ear, his fingers lingering there for just a moment too long. There was something so natural about it, like you were both so used to these small moments of closeness. It was almost as if neither of you needed to say anything. It was just understood. “Thanks,” you replied, your voice barely above a whisper. Sunghoon looked at you for a moment, his expression softening. “No problem.”
You smiled at him, and this time, he didn’t shy away from the gaze. There was a certain quiet understanding between you, something that didn’t need words to be expressed. It felt like the more you spent time together like this, the more you both realized just how easy it was to be in each other’s company.
The rest of the night passed in a similar quiet rhythm. You didn’t talk much, but the silence wasn’t uncomfortable. It was the kind of silence that only deepened your connection, that made you realize how well you both could just be together, without needing anything more.
Every now and then, Sunghoon would reach for the popcorn, brushing against your arm as he did, and each time, you couldn’t help but notice the way his touch lingered for a second longer than necessary. A small thing, but it meant more than he probably knew.
As the movie came to a close, you both sat back, stretching out a bit after hours of being curled up on the couch. Sunghoon yawned, reaching over to turn off the TV, and then relaxed back into the cushions, his head leaning just slightly against the top of the couch.
“Thanks for staying over,” he said, his voice unexpectedly soft. “I don’t really do this often, just... spending time with someone like this, you know?” You turned to look at him, surprised by his words. He had always been composed, always had that air of calm around him. To hear him admit something like that, something so simple yet so personal, made your heart flutter. “I’m glad we did,” you replied with a soft smile. “I think we both needed a night like this.”
Sunghoon didn’t say anything at first, just nodded in agreement, his eyes meeting yours for a brief moment before his gaze softened. “Yeah, I think you’re right.”
The air between you felt different now, more charged, but in the best way. Sunghoon’s small gestures, the touches that had seemed insignificant at first, had all built up into something more. A bond, unspoken but felt deeply.
As the night wore on and the lights dimmed even further, you felt a sense of peace. The kind of peace you didn’t expect from a simple movie night. Just the quiet closeness, the comfort of being in Sunghoon’s presence, was enough to make you feel like everything was right in the world. And for tonight, that was more than enough.

𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐅𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 : 𝐒𝐉𝐘 | 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐝𝐚𝐲 — 𝟑)
synopsis : A spontaneous midnight hangout at Jake’s favorite lookout spot turns into an unexpected heart-to-heart, where unspoken feelings finally come to light.
warnings : teasing, skinship, light kissing
wc : 1.3k+
MASTERLIST
It was Jake’s idea to meet at the hilltop.
“It’s got the best view,” he’d said earlier in the day, excitement dancing in his eyes. “You’ll love it, trust me.” You’d rolled your eyes at his insistence, but here you were now, bundled up against the chilly night air as you followed him up a narrow trail. He carried a small backpack over one shoulder, the faint sound of clinking glass bottles coming from inside.
“You never told me why this place is so special,” you said, your breath visible in the cold. Jake turned to look at you, walking backward with an easy grin. “It’s not just the view,” he explained. “It’s the quiet. No distractions, no noise. Just us.”
His words lingered in the air, and you felt your cheeks heat up despite the cold.
When you reached the top, you were met with a breathtaking view of the city below. The twinkling lights stretched as far as the eye could see, the skyline glowing softly against the dark sky. Jake set his bag down and pulled out a blanket, spreading it on the grass before gesturing for you to sit.
“See? Worth the hike, right?” he asked, dropping down beside you.
“Okay, I’ll admit it’s pretty amazing,” you replied, leaning back on your hands as you took in the view. Jake grinned, clearly pleased with your reaction. “Told you.”
From his bag, he pulled out two bottles of soda and handed you one. The gesture was so Jake so simple, thoughtful, and effortlessly charming.
The two of you sat in comfortable silence for a while, sipping your drinks and letting the quiet of the night settle around you. It was easy to lose yourself in moments like this with him, where words didn’t feel necessary, and the company was enough.
Jake broke the silence first. “You know, I don’t bring just anyone up here.” You glanced at him, raising an eyebrow. “Oh, really? Should I feel special?” He chuckled, leaning back on his elbows. “Maybe you should.” There was a teasing edge to his voice, but when you looked at him, his expression was softer, more sincere. His eyes, always so warm and inviting, seemed to hold something unspoken.
“Jake,” you began, shifting to face him fully, “why do I get the feeling you have something on your mind?” He hesitated, his gaze flickering back to the city lights below. For a moment, you thought he might brush it off with one of his usual jokes, but instead, he let out a quiet sigh.
“You’re not wrong,” he admitted, his voice quieter now. “There’s been something I’ve been wanting to say, but I didn’t know how.” Your heart started to race, the weight of his words settling between you. “You can tell me anything, you know that,” you said gently. Jake smiled, a small, almost nervous curve of his lips. “I know. It’s just hard to find the right words.”
He sat up straighter, his fingers fidgeting with the hem of his jacket. “You mean a lot to me. More than I think you realize. And I’ve been scared to say it because... what if you don’t feel the same?”
Your breath caught, his confession hanging in the air. Jake wasn’t usually one to doubt himself. He was confident, playful, and sure of his place in the world. Seeing him like this, vulnerable and unsure, only made your heart ache for him.
“Jake,” you said softly, reaching out to place a hand on his arm. “You don’t have to be scared.” He looked at you then, his eyes searching yours for any hint of rejection. But all he found was warmth, understanding, and something else, something that mirrored the feelings he’d just laid bare.
“I’ve felt the same for a while now,” you admitted, your voice steady despite the rapid beating of your heart. His expression shifted instantly, a mixture of relief and joy lighting up his face. “You have?” You nodded, a small smile tugging at your lips. “I thought you’d figured it out by now. You’re not exactly subtle, Jake.”
He laughed at that, the sound bright and genuine. “Guess I’m not as smooth as I thought, huh?” “Not even close,” you teased, leaning into him slightly.
Jake’s laughter softened, and he reached up to brush a stray strand of hair from your face. His touch was light, his fingers lingering just a moment longer than necessary. “I’m really glad I brought you here tonight,” he said, his voice low and sincere. “Me too,” you replied, your gaze dropping to his lips for the briefest of moments.
Jake noticed, of course he did, and the corner of his mouth quirked up in a small smile. “Can I kiss you?” he asked, his tone filled with a mix of confidence and hesitation. Your heart skipped a beat at his question, but you didn’t hesitate. “Yeah,” you said softly.
The kiss was gentle at first, his lips brushing against yours as if testing the waters. But when you leaned into him, your hand resting lightly on his chest, he deepened the kiss, his hand coming up to cradle your face.
The world around you seemed to fade away, the city lights below becoming nothing more than a distant glow. All that mattered in that moment was him, his warmth, his touch, and the way he made you feel like you were the only person in the world.
When you finally pulled away, Jake rested his forehead against yours, his eyes still closed as he let out a quiet laugh. “That was even better than I imagined,” he admitted, his voice filled with awe. You smiled, your fingers lightly tracing the fabric of his jacket. “You’ve imagined this?” “More times than I can count,” he confessed, his cheeks tinged with a faint blush.
The two of you stayed like that for a while, the night air cool around you but the warmth between you keeping the chill at bay. As the stars began to peek out from behind the clouds, you realized that this moment, this night, was one you’d never forget.
And from the way Jake held your hand on the walk back, neither would he.

𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍 — 𝐏𝐉𝐒 | 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞'𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐝𝐚𝐲 - 𝟐)
Synopsis : Caught in an unexpected rainstorm, Jay steps into a protective role. What begins as an inconvenient downpour quickly shifts into an intimate moment, one that leaves you both with more than just damp clothes.
wc : 1.5k+
warnings : skinship, kissing
MASTERLIST
The cool breeze was the first clue, a subtle shift in the air that made you glance up at the overcast sky. The day had been bright, but now, dark clouds were rolling in fast, an early evening storm on the horizon.
You and Jay had just stepped out of the cafe, the warm ambiance of the place still fresh in your mind as you tried to hold onto the fleeting comfort of your hot coffee. It had been a quiet afternoon, the kind of day that felt like it stretched on forever. It was only when you stepped into the street that you realized the weather had taken a turn.
A raindrop splashed against your cheek, followed quickly by another. “Looks like we’re not getting away from this,” you murmured, trying to hide your smile as you brushed your cheek. Jay looked up, brows furrowing slightly as he checked the sky. “I didn’t think the rain was supposed to hit until later,” he said, his tone tinged with surprise.
Before you could reply, a heavier downpour began, fast and relentless. You laughed nervously, turning back to the café, but it was clear there was no escaping the storm now. “Great,” you muttered. “Guess we're walking through this.”
Jay’s expression softened as he stepped closer to you, pulling his jacket tighter around himself. “Hold on a sec,” he said, quickly digging into his bag. You watched as he pulled out an umbrella, unfolding it with a smooth motion. You raised an eyebrow, surprised by his preparedness. “You carry an umbrella around with you everywhere?”
He gave a lopsided grin, a familiar glint of amusement in his eyes. “Always. I never know when I'll need it.” You watched as he extended the umbrella toward you. “Here, you can share it with me.”
The gesture was simple but thoughtful, and you could feel the warmth in his voice as he offered it. You hesitated for a moment before stepping under the umbrella with him, your body close enough to feel the warmth radiating from him. The rain was heavy now, but the umbrella shielded you both, keeping you dry as you started walking down the street together.
Jay walked just a little bit ahead, his stride long and sure, the umbrella tilted slightly to cover both of you. You couldn’t help but glance over at him, noticing the way the rain caught in his hair, giving it a darker sheen. Despite the weather, he looked effortless, his usual confidence on display even in this unplanned situation.
A comfortable silence settled over the two of you as you walked, the rhythmic patter of the rain creating a calming backdrop. It wasn’t unusual for you to spend time together in quiet, but there was something about the intimacy of being so close under the umbrella that made everything feel... different. You found yourself closer to him than you usually were, his shoulder brushing against yours with each step. It was subtle, but it didn’t go unnoticed by either of you. After a few more moments, you glanced up at him, your thoughts pulling away from the rain for the first time in what felt like hours.
“Do you always carry an umbrella like this?” you asked again, half teasing, half curious. He gave you a sideways glance, his eyes soft as he looked down at you. “I like to be prepared,” he said simply, his voice a little warmer than it had been before. “And I like to make sure the people around me don’t get caught in the rain.” The sincerity in his words made you pause, your heart skipping just slightly at the thoughtful gesture.
“You’re always looking out for others,” you remarked, the weight of his protective nature finally hitting you. You didn’t say it aloud, but you knew you appreciated it more than you let on. He smiled, a quiet, gentle expression. “It’s not a big deal,” he said, but you could tell he didn’t really believe it. His eyes lingered on you for a second longer, a quiet understanding between you both.
As you continued walking, the rain started to lighten, but it was still steady enough that you weren’t in any hurry to leave the safety of the umbrella. Jay’s shoulder was still grazing yours, the closeness making everything feel just a little more intimate. Your hand brushed against his, and for a moment, neither of you pulled away.
You glanced up at him again, catching the hint of a smile on his lips, his expression softer now. “What?” you asked, wondering why he was looking at you like that. “Nothing,” he replied, but you could tell he was holding back a chuckle. He stepped a little closer, and the umbrella tilted even further in your direction, your bodies now nearly side by side. It was easy to get lost in the small moments, the shared looks, the quiet laughter. You could feel the tension that had started to build between you, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It felt natural, like something that had always been there, waiting for the right time to be acknowledged.
The two of you found yourself at the corner of the street, waiting for the light to change. The rain had slowed to a light drizzle, but the atmosphere was still thick with the unspoken connection between you. As you stood there, waiting, your hand brushed against his again, and this time, neither of you hesitated.
Jay’s hand closed over yours, his fingers warm against your skin. He glanced at you, his gaze soft but unwavering, and for a moment, it felt like time had slowed down. The world around you, the noise of the street, the distant sound of cars faded into the background. The only thing that mattered in that moment was the quiet connection between you two.
“You don’t have to hold my hand,” you said quietly, though you didn’t pull away. Jay’s grip tightened slightly, a reassuring touch. “I want to,” he replied simply. His voice was quiet but firm, and you knew there was no room for argument in his words.
The light changed, and the two of you started walking again, your hand still intertwined with his. It felt natural, like something that should have happened long ago. As you continued down the street, Jay’s thumb lightly traced over the back of your hand, the motion gentle and comforting.
Eventually, the two of you arrived at your destination, your apartment building, the place you’d been trying to reach before the rain started. The storm had passed, leaving only the remnants of the rain on the sidewalk.
Jay stopped when you reached the door, his hand still holding yours. For a moment, neither of you moved, both of you standing there in the quiet aftermath of the storm.
“Well, I guess this is it,” you said, your voice softer now, the warmth of his hand in yours making it hard to let go. Jay didn’t respond right away. Instead, he stepped a little closer, his free hand gently pushing a strand of wet hair away from your face. You could feel the heat of his touch as he lingered, his gaze never leaving yours.
“You know,” he began, his voice low, “I think I like the rain a lot more when I’m with you.” You smiled, warmth spreading through your chest. “Yeah? You’re not just saying that because I’m standing under your umbrella?”
Jay’s lips quirked up into a teasing smile, but there was something else in his eyes, something more serious, something that made your heart beat a little faster. “Maybe,” he said with a smirk, “but I think you make everything better.”
Before you could respond, Jay leaned in, his lips brushing softly against your cheek in a lingering kiss. The brief contact sent a shiver down your spine, your hand still in his as he pulled away, his eyes meeting yours once more.
“I’ll see you soon,” he said, his voice steady but warm. You nodded, reluctant to let go but knowing it was time. “See you soon, Jay.”
As he walked away, you stood there for a moment, your heart still racing from the kiss, the warmth of his touch lingering long after the rain had stopped.
