brought to tears by the 1930 astronomy book i found for 4 dollars years ago at an antique store. old photos of nebulas and comets and planets, jupiter's makeup being described as "probably ammonia" and is said to have only like 12 moons. god dude. theres drawings people have done in the back of the book and equations written down and pages torn out and "hello" written out largely on the bottom of one of the pages. its my prized possession.

what i don’t get is why ofmd would resort to subtext as queer rep for izzy when there’s nothing barring them from writing queer stories freely. are people embracing izzy being gay as fanon? or is there belief that he is gay and the writers aren’t allowed to explicitly confirm it, on or off screen? if so, why would izzy have to be treated that way and not the other 8+ queer characters?

i feel like i’m going crazy - can anybody point me to a part in ofmd or a quote from david jenkins that confirms izzy is queer?
