I have an AU with my selfship where my s/i is 18 in high school and my f/o is 19 in uni (in canon, s/i is in his early 20s, f/o is late 30s). Just because I wanted to explore the dynamic of them being teens at the same time. And it's fun and all, but I've REEEEALLY wanted to explore ideas with my 18 year old AU s/i and canon late 30s f/o :3c maybe I'll even age s/i down to 17 or 16?

If I may ask, and you definitely dont need to answer, how did you and A recover from the rumors stopping you from talking until after HS? I had a similar thing happen with me and my TC and we did recover a little bit but after he got let go and I graduated, idk if its his guilt or what but hes been totally silent and cold with me. Love your blog too!! It's hard being in the weird state we are right now, still having our TCs in our lives while most people lose contact with their's after graduation. So I feel the same way; seeing someone with a similar experience makes everything less lonely.

I'm very sorry to hear what you're going through. To answer your question: it's complicated, and I think very dependent on your TC. A is a very bold, cocky man. In HS, he (obviously) wasnt afraid to push limits if it meant getting what he wanted. So the rumors never really deterred him, imo. That is to say, A and I never really "stopped" talking and I guess he didn't feel much guilt or shame about the whole situation. Definitely not as much as I did lol. There wasn't much "recovery" needed.

So that's what I mean by its probably very dependent on your TC and how comfortable they are pushing social taboos. Your TC could be head over heels in love with you, but if he's terrified of what it could do to his reputation, he might repress those feelings. Liking a student over a decade younger than you is stressful on a teacher (but its nothing that's at all your fault).

That all being said, my advice is every time you try to reach out to him, make it intentional! Send him stuff you know will catch his attention, like anything related to his interests, a major event happening in your life, news he might find interesting, etc. Make it something that will perk his ears up a little more than "Hey, how are you doing? It's been a while!" Something as simple as "I saw this and thought of you" carries a conversation more than small talk, while also hinting to your TC that you're thinking of him ;D. This might also be useful in your case, with Mr. H, because it'll get him back into the swing of talking to you about positive, friendly topics, instead of thinking about the rumors.

Whenever A and I go through quiet periods (which we do!!), I send him pictures of cats I see when I go on walks. A little play-bullying/teasing also works (if that's you and Mr. H's thing) because it invites them to clap back at you.

Basically (TL;DR), send him stuff that might pique his interest and give him substance to talk to you about. Let him know you're thinking of him. Small talk won't do! But also make sure you extend some understanding towards him and be patient. And LASTLY be patient towards yourself! This is important. Yes, you love this man, but always put yourself and your mental health first. I know TCs are more complex than a typical relationship, but most typical relationship advice still holds true; don't put 100% effort into this relationship if you feel like he's not giving you 100% back. Your time and your love is valuable!

1. How did your relationship start? Was it you who did most of the initiating?

We met my junior year of high school. He was my philosophy teacher ^^ and no actually! I'm super shy and quiet, especially around crushes. He was the one that would sit by me and spark conversation all the time.

Too often, it's unhealthy

3. What kind of weather matches their vibes?What about yours?

I feel like he gives windy, cloudy, chilly vibes. I give thunderstorm.

I know he's a huge LoTR fanatic, but I don't think it's his favorite. I'd rather not say my fav franchise.

them?

He finally invites me over to his apartment, we share some drinks, start drunkenly cuddling on the couch (you know, as friends!). Then the booze makes him more cocky than he already is, and he finally gets the courage to start feeling me up. Then it goes on from there :)

Not my favorite per say, but a good one: After school during tutoring, I broke something of his. I was hysterical and freaking out, too scared to tell him. He found me, asked why I was upset, and I told him. Oh, his face dropped the second I said I was afraid he'd be angry. He looked like a sad puppy. He told me, "When have I ever gotten mad at you? When have I ever been so mad, you needed to be scared of me?" Then he hugged me. It was nice. He didn't downplay my instinct to be scared of a possibly angry man. He just assured me he wasn't one I needed to fear.

them?

I fantasize but he's such a man-whore and the relationship would be so taboo. It wouldn't last.

Yes, he hugs me whenever we see each other :)

Yeah he blabbers and vents to me, I blabber and vent back. Basically, neither one of us have a good relationship with our parents.

In junior year, yes. Most of my friends thought of him as "the hot teacher." They lost interest though once he become problematic and rumors about us started spreading.

For a cishet wedding, I'd wear a suit. I hate to possibly "upstage" the bride by distracting everyone as "a man in a dress," so I boymod. For a queer wedding, I like how flowy, long-sleeve blouses pair with pencils skirts. Or maybe a sun dress? Idk I'm thinking summer/spring wedding. He'd definitely just wear a suit though, cishet or queer. Not that I'm complaining.

It's such an eye opener as to how pathetic I am. Every problematic community I find myself in is littered with teenagers and children. Can't I talk to adults that self harm? Adults with EDs? Adults who were groomed/abused? Adults that feel a sizable part of their sexuality/hypersexuality was directly influenced by their trauma? I know I'm only 20, which is young by a lot of people's standards. I think I won't open his dms for a few days, maybe until Monday, and make him think I got hospitalized again.

He's just always such a sweetheart whenever I'm going through a crisis. Whenever he sees new bandages or scars, he always asks me how I'm doing and if I wanna talk about anything. And the last time I got hospitalized, he continued texting me every day so I'd have something to come back to.

But he's been so radio silent lately, and we haven't had a proper conversation in forever. As well as absolutely no plans of meeting up in sight. It sucks.
