This easy slow cooker turkey chili is hearty, flavorful, and perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner. Packed with protein and veggies, it's a satisfying meal that's also gluten-free.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground turkey. 1 onion, diced. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 red bell pepper, diced. 1 green bell pepper, diced. 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes. 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce. 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed. 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed. 2 tablespoons chili powder. 1 teaspoon ground cumin. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano. Salt and pepper to taste. Optional toppings: shredded cheese, avocado slices, chopped cilantro.
Instructions: Cook the ground turkey in a pan over medium-low heat until it turns brown. Get rid of extra fat. Put the turkey that has been cooked in a slow cooker. To the slow cooker, add tomato sauce, kidney beans that have been drained and rinsed, black beans that have also been drained and rinsed, chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Make sure to stir everything together well. Turn the heat to low and cover. Cook for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the flavors blend and the chili gets thick. If you want, you can serve it hot and top it with shredded cheese, avocado slices, and chopped cilantro.
