Today has been tough. I recognize I started my blog with the intention that it would be purely about the music I have been creating and my work at UMG. I recognize that by being a person you make mistakes and me the perfectionist that I am is starting to realize I am full of mistakes. Love is so hard to except when you feel incapable of loving, or the only love you have felt has come at such a high cost. So maybe this has to do with the music. I wrote this song a a little whiles back called “breath me in” that I will be recording in a few weeks, post Christmas (WOAH TIME IS FLYING). It’s all about trust and addiction. I’m an addict, not to any drugs or booze but to my codependency. I rely on my past, my abuse, my inner child who’s shattered. When a 13 year old leads in a 22 year olds body woow, can that boy make some serious mistakes. Now, it’s not all bad but yes, I know how to manipulate, two, I know how to control, and three, I know how to break a heart. I’m learning to be esteem-able, that word is crazy but can alter every choice you make. Step one is being honest with myself and than others. The picture above is me and my best-friend Mer. Our friendship is honest, and we made some serious memories this past weekend. No pressure, just pure love. “You breath me in and you burn me out... You broke my heart but I’ll come back around” Sometimes it’s a mistake to come back around because we trust the chaos. Why is it so difficult to live in peace? When it’s bliss like that night in the pic above I feel like I’m loosing control. “Tap the ashes, blow out smoke. I’m addicted and I can’t let go.” Chaos is an addiction. Maybe self induced after a little while. Today, was big. Painful. But a realization that I’m not PERFECT.

It’s challenging being sick because your forced to think. Think about things you don’t want to think about. I’m lucky to be employed by UMG especially at such a young age. Working as a singer/ songwriter but also in corporate gives you the best of both worlds. A mentor of mine told me today that I’m lucky, lucky to be perusing both parts of the music industry. I️t will only provide me with focus and better idea of where I️ need to be a few years out. I️ took this photo above at a Gaga concert. Yes, she is my queen but is a constant reminder that hard work constitutes in success (well most of the time). Luck is also about being at the right place, doing your research, and working hard. I’m going to share more about my position at UMG later but also my new music. I️ know iv been a bit all over the place but these two focuses will provide a better idea of what’s next ! Xo lancer

I️ have spent that last two weeks sick in bed. Still working and writing. Sometimes the best inspiration can be when we’re forced to be still. When our bodies shut us down. Working full time, going to school, maintaining a social life, and keeping my body healthy are a thugs difficult to juggle. Relax. Breath. everything’s going to be alright!

Well it’s been a while...

I know, it has been a WHILE. Iv spent the last three weeks preparing for many things. Life is CRAZY. What you don't know is that I am the head of social media for the College and Lifestyle department at Universal Music Group. This past weekend was our conference, I presented my socials plan, the work I have done promoting artists like Post Malone, among my other tasks. I have also been dealing with a lot of mayhem at school and been writing this album. There is no time for ANYTHING!
