hi this is a weird question but how do you draw Jake so well? (or Andy samberg’s face in general) is there a process you follow or? /gen/nfta

hi!! not a weird question at all! i honestly just spend a LOT of time looking at his face and i practice drawing him and stuff like that. IDK how to explain in a way that makes sense ?? 😭 i think i’ve drawn him more than any other character so it just comes naturally to me now… But i still look at references when i draw anything, they help a lot!! also this goes for any character, sometimes i’ll put a picture on the canvas and trace over it until i’m confident i can do it freehandedly. it’s basically muscle memory at this point though. anyway, yeah this is probably the worst way to answer this, I’m bad at explaining things but hope this helps 👍
