Last month I completed a half-page illustration for Phoenix Magazine with regards to the status of the Westward Ho Hotel in downtown Phoenix. This was definitely something fun and refreshing, all thanks to AD Mirelle and the editorial team for pushing me. 

I’m also grateful to have been given the chance to offer some of my thoughts and background into the creative process in their Contributor page.

Here’s the latest illustration in my ongoing personal series, based on the films I’ve been watching lately. This one is based on Thief (1981) directed by Michael Mann and starring James Caan, Tuesday Weld and Jim Belushi. I wanted to capture the haunting and neo-noir art direction along with a stance that Caan would have when breaking into the diamond vaults depicted in the film.
