Merry Christmas for all wishes Jamatora
great year 2019 goes and new better 2020 comes
The past year was a time of intense work, new challenges and many unforeseen situations.
We will remember it as a breakthrough in several aspects.
Certainly 2018 is going down in our history as a continuation of the plans and born of new fresh ideas and efforts to implement it, of which "Samporium" and "Time Shifters" are worth mentioning.
In the coming new year 2020, we wish you all (and ourselves) to fulfill your dreams and to have pleasure in achieving your goals.

Time Shifters are back in 1891 game on board
in year 1891 squad of specialist came back from the future to change the course of history and disarm nuclear devices to save the world from High Tech Sect
.
It is unknown when the High Tech Sect was set. All we know is that they want to rule the world and they will not stop at anything to do it. They will not even stop at use nuclear weapons.
.
Let's the story begin
.
Time Shifters
have been keeping an eye on world order for hundreds of years. They were assigned to this One and only one role in their lives until death. They had sworn to fill it up to the last drop of their own blood.
.
Their priority is to stop High Tech Sect from harming people.
.
It is now year 2891.
Sect has gained access to a secret weapon and intends to use it against the whole world.
This threat is highly probable and time is short. That's why Time Shifters are entering the action.
.
Without hesitation, they undertake to stop Sect by all means. Unfortunately, Sect has to help both large resources and a very well organized grid. Time Shifters don't have time to waste, every moment counts because the situation looks really dramatic.
The Global Peace Council of Free Nations recommends a secret expedition. Time Shifters will be sent thousand years to the past to dispose of the nuclear devices that Sect has placed in an attempt to prevent tracking.
The fate of all humanity and the world as we know it depends on the success of this mission.
.
.
Landing in year 1891
.
Our brave heroes found themselves a thousand years ago.
During the time travel some of the Equipment was destroyed. Only a few are available. The rest of the Tools will allow them to perform equipment repairs. It turned out that some of their stuff had landed in different places.
.
Time Shifters need to find as many of them as possible and quickly.
.
To survive in new conditions and to complete the task, they must use Energy Cubes that they brought with them.
Operation in a compact group is not possible, therefore they will separate and start the action as per Orders.
.
.
If the mission is not completed - what next?
This is not the end of the fight - move your Time Shifters back in time for another thousand years !!!
.
Your squad almost vanished or can't accomplish mission. It is awkward moment but your team still have an emergency option.
.
Decide to make another trip back in time for the next thousand years to be able to repair the failure of the current mission.
.
Now it is crucial to reverse the course of history before Sect will react. No mistakes again. Just concentrate on tasks.
If you succeed, your team will be rewarded with the opportunity to return to the before present. Otherwise, Time Shifters will never go home again.
.
.
Are you interested to move in time with our Time Shifters?
.
So join the team and embark on a journey aboard our game.
.
more info will come soon...

Make print bigger when you are in hurry
how to deal with the preparation of the A0 print when we have an A4 / A3 printer at hand?
At Jamatora sometimes are situations when we need a printout in a larger format than what can be obtained from an available printer.
I'm not talking about A4 / A3 because most printers offer these, nor am I talking about continuous paper. Rather, I'm talking about it, when, for example, the plotter refused to obey and we urgently need to print something in a color that is significantly larger than an office printer. What to do then ?
If the quality of the print and the overall appearance of the material is important, then it is best to wait until our devices are operational or decide to give the files to print in the printing house.
If we do not care about the final appearance and accept some disadvantages, then the easiest way will be to prepare a poster and independently connect loose pages.
How to prepare for it?
First, print a document, e.g. a schematic in CorelDraw, to pdf, using the "Publish to PDF" option in the "File" menu.
Publish to PDF
It is best to use individual options that are available in the "PDF Preset Settings" menu.
PDF Preset Settings
After saving the file to .pdf, we open our file using e.g. Adobe Acrobat Pro and prepare the printout using an available physical printer from a USB or network port.
In the print options, select the "Poster" option, set "Tile Scale" and "Cut Marks" as well as the printer profile and get to work!
Print Settings
When we receive the printed pages then part of the work is behind us but now you will have to connect them together.
Before we do it, we still have to trim all the print pages so that after joining them there are no visible gaps. For this purpose, it is best to use a paper cutter or trimmer. It should be remembered to leave about 0.3mm in reserve for possible correction.
When the pages are cut, we can start joining them. This can be achieved, for example, in two simple ways:
connecting with transparent tape; sticking to a larger format.
When connecting with tape, we glue together the pairs of the nearest pages from the bottom, then we combine larger fragments until all the cards are joined together. Then repeat the connections from the top, paying attention to the accuracy of the pressure. And it's ready.
First method has the disadvantages of often inaccurately connecting individual parts to each other. In addition, tape connections are visible and the poster thickness is greater in these places.
The second way is to glue our printed sheets to larger sheets of paper glue, e.g. two A4 sheets for A3 etc. etc. It is best if we have the target size, e.g. a worn or unnecessary old sheet, which will serve as the base for gluing.
This method is much more convenient and the end result is definitely more aesthetic. The downside is the need for a larger size base paper.

Summer has gone, our work remains
while pictures and memories remain from holidays, Jamatora new boardgames still require commitment
After a few months of hard work, we spent a great vacation relaxing and enjoying the escape from everyday duties.
The heat with a temperature of about 40 degrees Celsius did not affect us encouraging us to do anything other than looking for a shade or bathing in cool water.
Meetings with long-lost friends and family, without looking nervously at the watch, were a nice element of spending free time.
One of the most important holiday moments for us is the yacht-bridge season. At Lake Szeląg Wielki in a small cozy summer house we move to another world.
Far away from the city bustle, you can hear the voice of the tit, quail, woodpecker and at night the eagle owl. The distant voice of a child or a woodcutter floats on the wonderful, soft silk waves of the lake. When we lie on the pier, slow white clouds swirl in the sky as blue as a diamond. From time to time herons and pelicans fly from white withered birches and poplars. Sailing to the other side there is nothing but a breeze and water and everything above.
Hiking to the forest for mushrooms and also in search of wild herbs. The evening rain knocks on the window glass while we, sitting in the comfort of the kitchen, spread the deck to the next batch of bridge, sipping this year's homemade quince, plum brandy and honey.
The rainbow during the day stretches from one hill on the other side of the lake to the horizon at the invisible edge of the forest.
The smell of fields and meadows breaks into the pillow every night under the starry sky, on which from time to time the incoming meteor will flash for a moment, which will disappear somewhere in the silence of stars.
Although working in Jamatora and creating new games is our passion, holiday rest has allowed us to return to work with a new look.

“SAMPORIUM” – “Slaves Of Rome” – weekly update – episode # 13
"Nihil bonum nisi quod honestum, nihil malum nisi quod turpe" - Marcus Tullius Cicero
Nothing good except what is honorable, nothing evil but what a shame.
As you probably know from earlier posts, the "Samporium" is set in "Slaves of Rome +" (SOR+) world. We did a huge development in both within past half of the year.
Samporium and SOR+ have grown and for this reason it was time to give them a bit of a separate place.
Thus, www.samporium.com and www.slavesofrome.com were formed.
At the moment those changes are not visible, because more efforts we put in next Phase of work under Samporium.
July and August we spent on modeling of first dozen of Minis. Some sketches are on the table but we wait for workforce to arrive.
We also started new communication channels: Support and Forum. You can find it here:
`https://support.jamatora.com and https://forum.jamatora.com

What I use to create svg icons ?
Jamatora blog social icons are made as svg compiled file
It is very simple technique to prepare set of great icons, used as social icons as svg file.
To do this I use Font Creator. It is old and good piece of soft, very easy to handle and learn.
The start page you can disable by checkbox.
The workspace is clear - even for nobie. Just look:
Additional windows are not stick to the main panel, but are movable.
When it comes to edit the glyph, again we have very comfortable area to work:
We can control parameters in many ways:
On the end I have glyphs like that:
There is one Pros to have svg icon set : all icons are in just one file.
Second: that file has about 300kb. Compare to 151 images png or jpg files this is difference !

Samporium in
Jamatora introduces "Slaves of Rome +" world for a first time
For the last over a year, we've been working on a project set in the world of "Slaves of Rome +".
That's how Samporium was born.
As part of this project, it turned out that the game we created, became very extensive. Hence the idea to build modules that co-create its continuity within that world.
We therefore treat Samporium as an introduction to the continuation of the world of "Slaves of Rome +".

We changed Jamatora website structure
“The meek may inherit the earth, but at the moment it belongs to the conceited. Like me.”
― Cassandra Clare, City of Bones
Some time planned change of structure of Jamatora website started a week ago.
First, we moved all to secure protocol SSL so now our visitors can see Green Lock o the left of the address bar.
Second, we divided logical parts of website and moved to sub-domain. This way we can give more flexibility to visual content.
The work is not yet done because we have to update content on each category. It should not take long, however we need time to do it properly.
