"why was daniil angry that they qualified--"
idk, i don't think that's anger. that's the look of a man who didn't think he was gonna qualify finding out he did, in fact, not make ukrainian eurovision history by being the first to not reach the finals.
like, those right there are the eyes of someone who's just had their entire stomach fall out of their ass on that green room sofa only to come out on the other side realising his intestines are actually all still in their right place. i don't think that can be held against him.

If you're wondering about Danya's (Ukraine's lead singer) reaction to qualifying and him going off-screen, he actually ran to hug Red Sebastian (Belgium).
So no, he wasn't being "arrogant" or "pissy," he was probably overwhelmed by the result and at the same time feeling empathy for all the contestants that didn't qualify.

Stunning💘
I hear tell that it’s the year of the snake - I think this is the only snake-centric illustration I’ve ever drawn? But she’s got a real I Will Fight To Make Things Better energy that I think we’ll need in 2025.

Still collecting the full alphabet of the “live, laugh, love” variants if anyone has some good examples.
Bonus if they can fit the “We can’t ___, _____, ____ our way out of this.”
