That pre-World Champs altitude swim session with Lucy Charles Barclay in Cedar City. : And the first session I got to try out my new @liquideyewaterhousings underwater housing for the Canon R3 (& RF15-35) : I managed to grab a few stills in between shooting video content for the Ironman race series ‘A Fighting Chance’ (on YouTube). : It was hard enough holding my breath underwater for any length of time, due to the pool being at altitude in Cedar City, but the hardest part was to keep the housing underwater long enough being so buoyant with the air trapped inside it. It’s also why I’m wearing a rash vest to try and make myself as less buoyant as possible. : The following session I rented dive weights, 4lbs attached to the housing and 4lbs attached to my waist. 4lbs (1.8kg). This girl … a pure inspiration for all young female athletes and for all athletes who go through injuries and the doubts they face when they have them. . What a come back year for @lucycharles93 .. any result yesterday would have been a win, after missing the World Champs in St George earlier this year due to a stress fracture, Lucy absolutely nailed her race here at the @ironmantri World Champs here in Kona. . Forth time second place, but “it was a win just getting to the start line here in Kona” LCB. . Just an epic few days spent here in the stunning mountains of @zellamseekaprun .. shooting the latest episodes of A Fighting Chance for @ironmantri .. : @ironman_austria have put on a huge race, with 60+ pro men and 40+ pro women. With the like of @sebastiankienle @triff97 @andi_dreitz - on his injury come back race and defending champ @stratmannjan looking to retain his title.. And a strong field of women with @em_pallant on back to back races, the fast Kiwi @becclarke_tri and Aussie @gracethek .. not to mention local favorite @skumhofer_triathlon and pro newbie @lauraaddie95 all gunning for the title, it’s going ti make for interesting viewing. After many weeks on the road, I appreciate more and more the down-time I have, and the time I can spend with my GF @sarahkimbonner along with great friends. Thanks to Katie and Gids for showing us the Torrent Neuf route here in Switzerland. What a beautiful trail cut into the mountain side. . Part of my photographic work includes extensive travel around the world, and one of my most favorite things about it is to discover new places. The world never ceases to surprise me with its beauty. Particularly here in the Swiss alps. I couldn’t be anymore prouder… : Set back after set back has kept @sarahkimbonner from being on a triathlon start line, and after missing @ironmanlanzarote 70.3 a few weeks ago with a cold, we looked high and low for another season starter. It’s almost 17 years that I’ve know this Estonian man-mountain @ain_alar .. and he’s the reason that I fell in love with Ironman triathlons all that time ago. : Back in 2005 I shot my very first Ironman Lanzarote, I had no idea what was going off. All I knew was that I needed to be on the finish line at a certain time to photograph the winner. That winner was Ain-Alar. I was in awe. Maybe it was a guy crush, but this 6ft-something of a man, ripped to shreds, finishing the @ironmanlanzarote in just over 8hrs, blew my mind. I was hooked. First triathlon of the season checked off last Saturday, and for me it was nice to shoot a bunch of friends on my home soil of Lanzarote, competing in this tough Olympic distance hosted by @clublasantaraces : It wasn’t so much of a surprise that Spain’s darling of triathlon @saraperezsala topped the podium.
