I cannot in good conscience continue this blog. James Northcote is a strong supporter of Generative AI and is actively supporting and promoting its use for actors through a partnership with Microsoft. This flies in the face of my own morals and ethics, and is a punch in the face to someone who is a creative professional myself.

Generative AI is a destructive force in the world of creative professionals -- it steals copyrighted materials without license or permission; it uses an extremely high amount of resources like electricity and water to run; it has a stated purpose of replacing artists, musicians, writers, and other creative professionals, stealing their own works and using them to undermine them all to get a quick buck with no effort or skills.

I cannot believe that someone like James, who is himself a creative professional, an actor and a photographer, would support such a thing that is so disrespectful and destructive to his fellow creatives.
