friends, foes, gays and gamers.... if youuuuu can believe it, it's a bandcamp friday once again!

which gives me a good excuse to post my 2021 album bittersweet!! a tour de force of breakbeats, saw waves, vocaloids (GUMI, specifically), autotune, and homosexual melodrama, packaged up into 11 silly little tracks. it's got funky synths! it's got two of the sickest guitar solos known to man! it's got paisley pudge? rateyourmusic calls it "Indietronica" and "Digital Fusion", apparently!

in all sincerity, this album was a labor of love for me, made after a four year long case of creative burnout nearly destroyed my ability to even think about making music. in a lot of ways, this album was a mad dash to finally cut that baggage free and prove that, in spite of everything, i could just make shit again. it wasn't easy, and yeah this album has rough edges, but i am unbelievably proud of what i have to show for that effort.

so whether it's on a bandcamp friday or any other day, if you give this music of mine a listen, i wanna sincerely thank you. hopefully it can inspire the same sort of creative joy in y'all that making it did for me! ❤️💚

thank you all so, so much for traveling along with me these past two years; it's been a genuine honor! let me share some thoughts below the cut, too -

it's no exaggeration to say this album changed my life; i thought myself genuinely washed as a musician for a good few years, caught up in burnout and self-doubt, until a sudden burst of inspiration manifested and turned into this! it's a collection of songs i am wholeheartedly and joyously proud of, and unlike a lot of things i've made in the past, it hasn't taken me half a decade to come around on that. it's special!

appropriately enough, this celebration is itself a little bittersweet for me; this was around when i had originally planned to release my follow-up album, after all. i've been slowly working on it this past year, but as it goes, life had other plans for me. not necessarily bad plans, mind you! there's been good and bad, but... well, the good will come, and the bad will never last. someone said that once, i think

either way, i am honored to have spent these past two years taking the scenic route with yall.

...yknow, i hear this place looks lovely in the summer. we’re in no rush, right? wanna hang around a bit? we’ll get to see spring come, too!

i got Funtown USA by tv room egregiously stuck in my head from the moment i first heard it, and this is almost a tradition for me at this point when a song gets stuck in my head; so, i present to you all a lovingly crafted and overly fast cover of said song!

hey o/ last i heard you were planning on releasing your next album this autum, but since you're working on a game dev project i wouldn't be surprised if the album has been pushed back. I just wanna know, am i free to use my entertainment budget on vbucks or should i wait for the next great 2023 hit album to come out?

at this point its very much safe to say the album's been delayed from that estimate!! a lot of Life happened to me earlier this year, coupled with me getting involved in some other projects like you mentioned, so i didn't end up getting things done as quickly as i had wanted to.

Soul Restruct is a sci-fi action yuri visual novel. Grey, a retail worker with a journalistic eye for beauty in the mundane, gets brought into the exploits of the elementally-powered "New Six."

As the newly-appointed chronicler of this team, Grey follows along to discover the meaning of civilian disappearances caused by a horde mechanical beasts, and the ambitions of the Tyrants in control of them. (all screenshots not final)

Soul Restruct will feature character and CG art by @jellyfishfortuna, background art by Ahruna and Nate D Hernandez, character designs brought on by the likes of khwany! On the soundtrack are @jamiepaige and @shadolith!

@teffiniwynn is the lead writer, producer, and director on Soul Restruct! Els White has been a great help co-writing. Studio Coattails is handling voice casting and Syon Santeria the direction! We'll do character and cast reveals over the coming days.

We're aiming to have a demo, and sometime afterward a crowdfunding campaign, in 2024! Stay tuned for further developments.

oh 100%, there's a very intentional quote of it at the start of the guitar solo

Will there be any future music featuring human vocals?

absolutely!! i've got a lot of plans for vocal synth music (absolutely releasing at LEAST a single with teto's synthV voicebank, maybe an ep), but also a majority of the songs i'm currently sitting on are ones with me singing >:3c so don't worry, the full-on vocaloid takeover hasn't happened.... Yet ???
