The Right Thing Is Hard To Do - Lightning Bug

I hadn't heard this song in a while, but it appeared again in my dreams last night. It's just as powerful, heartbreaking, and fulfilling as it was when I first heard it. This morning, I looked up the lyrics, because I could never hear them between my heavy, chopped breathing. I never realized how hopeful they were. I love this song.

The Softies - It's Love

What does being in love sound like? How do you capture such a painfully easy, beautifully heart-wrenching feeling? Back in 1995, Rose Melberg and Jen Sbragia released It's Love, a twee pop album that puts sweet words to that most elusive feeling.

There's no "right time" to listen to this album. It's always a great listen. It can always transport me to a better world. One where my hand is held with unselfish sweetness. One where my face is covered in hundreds of kisses. One where I blush thinking of another.

My favorite songs on this album are I Love You More, It's Love, and Follow Me. Maybe my reasons are too personal, but these are the tracks that provide the most imagery. I can leave my world and return to my fantasies of love.
