The slow downgrade in quality each time I drew another character was too funny I couldn’t help it. Ren smiling evilly because they’re destroying the books but sweating cuz they’re worried for Hava( don’t worry y’all she’s fine) had to be added. I was very inspired by @grwitch so shoutout to them as well.

I wanted to make Tom drop his coffee but it would be hard to tell since it’s only one image and not a comic so just imagine he did ok?? Dakota being pinned to the ground by teeny Zoe and Jamie was so funny and cute I was laughing the whole time I drew this thing. I did add Tom the bunny and Charles’s little fluffy pet thing I forgot what it’s called but they needed an appearance too—Charles and nova are cracking up in the safety of the nook behind the wall LOL maybe they were one of the ones who caused the fire… or perhaps it was Rem we all know about their arsonist signs here!!

I think it's hilarious that I have a streak of how my beta's will always threathen me for my angst writing. I used to have that before too, and Jay has kept the tradition alive! Made me wheeze, because the aww made me NOT expect the rest of the comment ( ˘▽˘) AND on something I had already sown the seeds for before hehe. Life is so fun for me!

REALEST THING EVER!!! I love this comment so much, I had a LAUGH writing this part and Jay's commentary just made it ALL the more brilliant :D Jay's comments are so funny, it made me giggle and kick my feet while going over all the edits, which made me so happy. Normally when I edit I get to a point where I read over my own writing and don't find it as funny as I did while I wrote it, but this just made me BEAM haha.

Severus remaining unchaged hehe. HASTAG CONSISTENT KINGGGG haha. This made me laugh so hard. It IS TRUE, Severus is the most consistent in his behaviour in this entire fic, he is soooo true to himself, it's really fun! The REAL one of this fic. He is NOT doing all that changing up his behaviour stuff like everyone else is doing, bro is TOO tired for that stuff. He's also somehow one of the most emotional stable person in this fic, which is so funny concidering who he is. Jay over here meme'ing that Severus is consistent and I'm in the corner laughing like a B rate movie villain who has lost the plot.

COLD HAND MENTION HAHA, I love mentioning Tom's cold hands since it's such a important fact to Dakota. AND JAY GETS THATTTT! Makes me so delighted to get comments that mention stuff that I put down on purpose. Jay's been on the same wavelenght the entirety of the time we talked and it's so funny! I am putting stuff down and Jay's picking it up and throwing it at me like rotten tomatoes XD Also yeah I changed the shoved to dragged off, we had a entire convo about where I went D: but shoved is funnier and Jay went HOW WOULD HE DO THAT and I went,,, magic??? Had to give up on my shoving off dreams TvT sigh what a hard world we live in...

Anyways! Shout out to Jay for being such an awesome beta with such wit! It's been such a joy working with you :D I can't wait to post more of these!

It’s officially… The Beta Comment Series: Part 1 : Jay’s Perspective

As many of you have come to know, I am officially the beta reader for Object in Motion!! Me and Rem are buddies now, and we decided to make some posts together of our favorite beta comments and mistakes in writing to share!! This will be a multi-part series because as you may also know I am a yapper and I comment a lot!! Also I will be beta-Ing for future chapters so there is more to come!! Rem and I will be both posting something together so look out for his post too!!

Anywayyyy let’s get onto a few of my faves for the chapter! These are mainly ones that I related to during the chapter so you can have a peek into my own reactions lol. Rem is posting some of the ones that I made myself laugh with so please go check those out as well.

When Dakota started talking about defense with the rubix cube I just nodded and smiled like a proud mom listening to teen talk about a video game they don’t know anything about LMAOOO. If it confused me then it’ll definitely confuse the person doing it which means it’s a success! Dakota you genius you do everything right. No I do not have favoritism.

This was so real, honestly who doesn’t complain like that nowadays?? It’s so fun like grumbling and shaking the fist in the air is me fr. Dakota you are my spirit animal. Don’t we all wanna be snakes too??

Me crying the first paragraph in like author my burning torch is slightly raised rn… trust guys I’ll be letting you know if you need to bring the pitchforks before the new chapter comes out!! And yea while I was doing my 130 something comments it was originally a pink color and then I exited out and it turned green. At first I was disappointed but then I realized I like green and it’s like slytherin so I’m okay with it! I’m a color changing queen guys, send me color recs and I’ll see if I can will them into existence. Omg pink and green is a wicked reference. But yea if you haven’t been able to tell already the green text is me!!

Last but certainly not least is my tribute to Nagini. Sorry Dakota, you are in second place now! Nagini is a Queen with brilliant advice and perfect words at all times. Everyone strive to be like her. Shoutout to rem again for teaming up with me and letting me beta! And also for taking all these screenshots because I know my fingers would’ve been tired after the tenth one LMAO.

This was super fun and I can’t wait to do another! I hope all of you liked them and laughed as much as we did <333

Okay I NEEDED to be part of the trend, but I feel you rem, I really do. Time has been my enemy and still is BUT I got a very very early version of my vision and I wanted to share. Unfortunately I won't be able to continue it much prob, until like next week.

I got inspired by my guy @wandamaximoffkinnie and his perfect editing skills so I'm putting fuel to the fire (sorrie sorrie I couldn't resist)

We got everyone's beloved OCS and Tom in this one. Can you guess who is who by my terrible early drawing? Also what do you think happened and who could cause such chaos? I wonder i wonder (there are clues... I think 😂)

Doesn't Ren look so delighted? 😂😂 I think he looks more evil than tom here, Tom is just wondering what happened this time. Dakota being bombarded by kindness but I think he is too distracted to notice, like someone is on fire. And that someone seems kinda context tbh. And two others are lurking in the corner as you can see, trying not to die on the way to escape (by laughting not the fire)

I tried my best to make sure they all have different faces—same face syndrome is my weakness

This is so fire it’s insanity, love all the thought and effort put into this—the details for Nova are awesome, Jamie is a total cutie pie, the outfit for Zoe is fabulous, hava looks like a Queen I love her, and Charles and ren are so cute I love their little scenes!!

Since it seems to have become a bit of a trend, here's my take on everyone's ocs:

So these are all in @remnantofstars HP fic Object in motion

So we have Zoe Rose Baird who belongs to @wandamaximoffkinnie I don't know if it shows but I definitely had the most fun designing her clothes out of everyone's, and while I hope it's obvious, but if not, the red on her skin is supposed to be sunburn. I actually made Tom white first since my reference was a white rabbit but saw the new art from jayloocarrot like just half an hour ago and changed it(that was really beautiful by the way! Especially the lightning on Jamies face).

Charles Rook is from @ruk-u och let me tell you I had such a hard time drawing the face and the hair, I don't know why, maybe because Ruk has already drawn Charles so I felt I had to match it? In the end I just gave up and let it be, but I hope it matches him well enough anyways. The cat is from the breed Selkirk Rex since when first drawing it i was on kind of a roll with the curls after just having done Jamie's hair and decided to make a curly haired cat as there was never really any description of the cat. Is the cat even Charles' or did he just pick it up somewhere?

Jamie Darlington is @jayloocarrot 's oc and I originally designed Jamie with the hair out of their face with the help of hair clips, but I couldn't get the lighting of the forehead right so I covered it up with curls. I did however have real fun playing around with the lighting of the rest of the face and hair! I feel like they look a bit older than 13 but whenever I tried to give their face a bit more baby fat it felt like Jamie looked too much like a girl and I really wanted to get that more androgynous look so I suppose they're simply a bit older in this drawing.

@akigotbored 's ocs is Ren Inkwell, I didn't really have anything to go on with their clothing preferences so I just drew them in a sweater since those are comfy and easy to draw. For those curious, the comic Ren is reading is from the french sci-fi series Valérian and Laureline and this particular one was puplished in 1972 (german version in 1978) because I'm picky like that and refused to choose something that would have been puplished after 1991.

Nova Blake is created by @grwitch and I think she came to me the easiest except my own oc, just a very solid character design. I really enjoyed drawing the sweater and the small details on it and coming up with (admittedly very basic) titles for the books she might be using for her project. And if she doesn't speak french there's probably some kind of translation spell she could be using. I just thought it fun to include titles in other languages as well and I found a reddit post with a list of french terms for a lot of things in the books so french it was.

And at last we have Hava Alcyone Osborne, since she's mine she got to appear twice (๑>؂•̀๑) She's doing some alchemy stuff in one of the pictures as can be gathered from the book titles. In my head I kind of imagine alchemy as a sort of mixture of potions and transfiguration that also utelises runes, but I'd love to hear what you guys picture alchemy as!
