Hi! You're an amazing artist, and you say you're freelance. What exactly does that mean/ entail from a job perspective? I wanted to be an artist, but it seems like an ubstable income and/ or lifestyle. Could you explain all you do for me?
Well first of all thank you so much, I really appreciate your kind words.Yes I am a freelance illustrator.A freelancer is generally someone who is self employed and who works with different clients and different projects. It's a brilliant opportunity to be your own boss and also social network and build clients. It's very rewarding working with different people and learning new techniques. However, it can be very seasonal. So for example you can have lots of work within a few months with tight deadlines and then it can be very quiet. So it isn't the most stable paying career. However it is very rewarding. And it can lead into full-time employment if that's what you choose to do. If you want to do it, go for it! It's different for everyone. However, be prepared to work really hard and try to not compare yourself to anyone and stock up on coffee! :) I really hope that's helped! Jaz Xx
