Cannara, 1966. Designed by 18-year-old Ray Cannara who was also a graduate of the ArtCenter College of Design (also with scholarship from the  Fisher Body Guild) who studied under the center's head Strother MacMinn. MacMinn had predicted the rise of wedge design in the an edition of Road & Track magazine from February 1957 entitled Driving the Wedge or, after 1960, What? The Cannara's design satisfied MacMinn’s design requirements as to what qualified as pure wedge design and was an early example of styling that would become ubiquitous later in the later 60s and into the 1970s. It was built on a modified 1958 Chevrolet Impala Station Wagon chassis, powered by a 280bhp 283ci Chevrolet V8. The fibreglass bodywork kept the car's weight down to 2,100 lbs (952 kgs). The Cannara was restored in the recent past and was invited to participate in the prestigious 2024 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

the short film that i worked on from mid november to the end of december! i've already received my score so i think i'm allowed to post it now. it's the first short film that i've ever made & i don't have a lot of experience in animation & and know NOTHING about sound design so please ignore the flaws v__v pretend they don't exist.

BADLY DRAWN ANTIQUITY PROJECT

Hello guys, I have an enormous favour to ask of you. I'm doing a project for my Social Media & Online Marketing class. I need to amass (lol) 100 followers on Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok by the 25th of April.

WHO AM I AND WHAT'S MY PROJECT ABOUT

My name is Melania, I'm a student from Poland currently pursuing my Master 's degree in Business Management.

I am also a classicist and this is why for this project I've decided to draw short satiric comics - the theme is of course ancient Greece & Rome. I provide context for the drawings as well - on the FB fanpage - and (hopefully) interesting titbits of information.

I post new content at least twice a week on each platform.

I plan to continue this project even after the class is done so you might be sure there are many silly drawings yet to come!

As I wrap up the semester, I'm also wrapping up on my game dev class project, Mainframe!

Mainframe is a fighting game about giant mech pilots duking it out in sci-fi sports that defy the square-cube law, inspired by games like Pokken Tournament, BlazBlue, and Street Fighter. It's a game I've been wanting to make for years, and I'm glad to finally have a working prototype of the idea!

This project was created with some HEAVY lifting from Universal Fighting Engine in Unity. While I won't be distributing any playable versions of this for a long time (in part due to the Maya student license), I think this works as a solid proof of concept.

Project "CompMath.AstrophysicsODEs": Early Projects, Part 2

Let's continue the series of Early Projects. The next one was from the sphere of analytical mechanics. The task was to simulate the rotational motion of bodies using quaternions. Quaternions make it possible to describe such motions quite succinctly in formulas. Special attention should be paid to modeling the Dzhanibekov effect, aka Tennis racket theorem.

P.S.: Below is a test of the operation of this simulator with a spin of the simple screw around its axis.

P.S.2: Here is a simulation of the Dzhanibekov effect. As it can be seen when the body have three distinct principal moments of inertia, rotation around one of the principal axes (associated with the second-order inertia moment) unstable. That's why the wing screw turns over.
