It's a symbol commonly used in one of the Russian states' traditional embroidery, means sun iirc. And while this context is highly unlikely to stumble upon in US, it still can happen.

The most sick about this is they appropriate the symbols that most of the people using don't even know about their appropriated meaning.

Somehow new chapters made people come to conclusion that Kris had never disliked Ralsei and it all was in our heads?? Have we all forgot that characters can grow and their opinions can change though?

I know it is my personal theory and we don't have direct confirmation for either of the sides, but it seems to me more like their opinion of him changed.

In ch1-2 Ralsei is all about keeping the rules of the game, of upholding status quo, he's really Player-centric. And for Kris? For Kris that means he's our ally, he's another part of the possession scheme. He's another foil, not as much as we are, but still.

But ch3-4? Ralsei is shown as another victim of situation. He was created to be used. He's not supposed to have different opinions. He's not supposed to have agency. But he has and now he has to wonder whether he should go back to what he's supposed to be or stay true to himself. He's just as trapped in his role as party member, their guide through this world and prince from the prophecy.

Ralsei is shown to not be someone who intentionally stumped Kris' agency in cahoots with the Player and their little helper, but as an actual person who has to work through their personality and freedom, while caring for his friends and wanting to protect them from the knowledge he has.

For Kris, Ralsei is shown to not be an enemy or enemy's ally. That's the thing.

I had to replay first two chapters when I bought it and when I finished vessel sequence I saw that "No one can choose who they are in this world" line and my mind went "huh, ain't that the queerest thing I've ever heard" (you don't choose your orientation, neither do you choose your true gender (yes, you choose whether you transition to such, but even if you don't your gender is still there, it's not defined by your body or appearance or social expectations) you get born whatever you are with no say in the matter)

And then that box puzzle and that "You're not a box, Kris — don't listen to him, you can be a box if you want" and I was hit with "oh wait so Deltarune is fundamentally queer and is an absolute fire at spitting out the most queer lines ever like it's nothing??? Always had been??????"

I just was looking for another hour+ long yt video to watch as background and stumbled upon one being like "underappreciated canadian cartoon" or something and decided why not. Then half a minute in I decided I wasn't that interested in video and went for Detentionaire itself, watched all the episodes in 4 days and oh god I loved it (pretty obvious one lmao)

The way it was so unfairly cut kinda reminded me of Uprising also but at least that one is part of a franchise that gets a movie soon and Detentionaire gets nothing.

Actually, the very fact it wasn't finished is one of the reasons I draw so much – I didn't get to know what would Li and Lee's relationship and dynamic become like, what would be between Li and the family as a whole, would he get friends aside Priscilla. I didn't get closure, mainly on him, and that's why they so insistently microwave in my head and get the shenanigans they never got. I really need to know what happens next and if it doesn't exist? Well, then I'm gonna be the one who comes up with it. I mean, what I have gradually building up in my head could be an outline for a fanfic but I know I never finish writing those so it's sketching for now. I still have ideas and new ones keep popping up.

Also about the artstyle – thanks on this one as well!! I'm still kinda figuring out what kind of mix of my usual style and show's style I want. For example in earlier ones eyes are in my style, but a few sketches in the eyes are like the dark ones in canon.
