This weekend some of us went to Batad and Banaue.
Beautiful rice terraces, trekking to waterfalls and riding on the top of a jeepney made the weekend a wonderful escape from a city life.
Have a look at more photos on our Facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/jeepneydiaries and learn more about the project on http://jeepneydiaries.ph

Chocolate Hills - one of the most famous Bohol's tourist attractions.
1776 hills are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season.
Bright, beautiful and unusual Chocolate Hills will remain in our memories forever.

Tarsier is one of smallest earth's primates.
Tiny, shy, but very cute - this is the impression we got by visiting Tarsier Foundation in Bohol!

Someone once said "Tea is a cup of life" and we can never have enough of it!
Cozy atmosphere, friendly personnel and, most importantly, magnificent TEA make make our mornings in the Philippines beautiful! If you are in Quezon City, try out The Tea Shop (I <3 Fro Yo) or Cha Dao place (we promise - you won't regret)!

Street food in the Philippines is just amazing!
The day we went to try out local street foods made our bellies happy and satisfied.
We especially enjoyed Ice-cream, which is called Dirty Ice-Cream here - a desert made at home and being sold by street vendors.

Twoo weeks in Manila and we're already in love with Jeepneys - the kings of the roads here in the Philippines!
Combining "jeep" and "jitney" (share taxi), there comes a new word "Jeepney" - the most popular mean of public transportation in the country.
Jeepney is definitely one of the symbols of Filipino creativity!

A float at the Lantern Parade of the University of the Philippines, Diliman. This photo was taken in December of last year. The parade is an annual nighttime event, each time with different themes. The 2010 theme was marine life--to promote awareness and action towards saving and maintaining our country's natural marine resources.

Filipinos will find any occasion to sing!
Rockeoke is a trending pasttime among yuppies. The event is usually held in a restobar and includes a live band with a list of songs to choose from. They play the songs and you front the band, belting out on stage in front of a relatively large crowd. If you have dreams of becoming a rock star, this is the way to live it.

Taken on a trip to Boracay, on the Fly Fish (popular "extreme" water activity)! SO FUN. Like a rollercoaster but on an inflatable. Not for the faint of heart!
