Sendokai's Forgotten Comback

2025 is the year of cartoon comebacks, but one series seems to be forgotten: "Sendokai." It quietly returned with a 30-minute special titled "Sendokai Sengate" - not just to wrap up the S2 cliffhanger, but also to tease a new threat for.

As someone who grew up watching this show, it hit that perfect mix of nostalgia & appreciation. You can tell they poured effort into it. The episode felt less like just a continuation & more like a trial for a new animation style — reintroducing the characters, dynamics, & world.

The Sendokai forms got a huge glow-up. They're smoother, more polished. But the civilian forms? Something feels... off. Not bad, just like they're missing a spark, and I can't quite word it out.

The character dynamics are as iconic as before. Turns out, I actually missed the OG love triangle, but the hint at a new plotline between Fenzy and Kiet was a fun surprise.

One thing I wish was included though was a recap. It's been 10 years, I forgot half of what happened! A quick flashback would've helped so much.

Overall, a solid 7/10. The animation was great, and the setup for future storylines has me hyped. There are so many unfinished threads, and I’m excited to see where they take it next.
