Hi, i'm sorry for bothering you but idk how to help. I would like to send money to palestine but i have read there are a lot of fakes that instead get sent to israel and idk what option is safe. Do you know which source i should prioritize and how to know if it will actually help or not?

there are a few organizations that can be trusted such as medical aid for palestine or care for gaza. you can also donate e-sims to people in gaza (and now sudan) through connecting humanity. some people from gaza also ask for direct donations, especially to pay the high cost (5000$) of the exit permit for egypt, such as: eman basher's gofundme that is run by trusted sources. you should also donate to pal legal, a legal group that assists palestinian and pro-palestinian activists facing suppression and targeting in the US.

but i have to say, as it has been said. if you want to prioritize anything, don't prioritize donations. despite everything, most of the donations are still not getting through. there are 15,000 trucks on the rafah border and less than a hundred go through each day, if that, and they are not allowed to carry many vital supplies gazans need by israeli authorities. there are children starving less than 10 miles from where these trucks are parked. there is no lack of resources and "humanitarian assistance" set aside for gazans—there is even economic incentive to ethnically cleanse them and resettle them in egypt.

the problem facing gaza is political, not humanitarian. they are undergoing a genocide that is willfully and strategically chosen to target anything that sustains life in gaza. if you must prioritize anything, prioritize your voice. raise awareness, call for a ceasefire, call for opening the rafah border, call for israeli accountability for war crimes, call for the end of US complicity in a genocide, call your reps.

Sorry! The tags felt a little on-edge but I also suck at portraying anything but contempt or devotion online.

Don't be afraid to submit anything from it, doesn't matter to me if the media in of itself has a lot of problems (unless it does become hard to ignore and/or the mention of it is prone to causing everyone in a 10 mile radius to groan) since we've already had a lot of Vrisrezi in here or if your explanation of the media is lacking. Some people have submitted very unconvincing thoughts in it and I'll still take them because I also do some research and/or ask some people who might know more. Modding isn't just me taking your word for fact, I promise there's at least a little bit of investigation going on so things go by smoothly.

I'm being very cautious with some asks however since I've had some forays into running public tumblr blogs and sometimes anons think I'm attacking them directly and/or want me to say something and take it as an absolute truth and then get mad at me for it.

This does not mean that any person sending in an ask or a poll submission should feel as if I, Jejushipbracket mod Tox am going to go to their house and kill them. I'll probably just delete your submission and/or ask if it sucks ass, but it /really/ has to suck ass for me to delete it.

hello op! i know m/f ships are banned here, but i would like to plead the case for harry du bois and dora ingerlund from disco elysium. yes harry is horribly misogynistic to dora in how he describes her. yes harry idolises her to the point of comparing her to the in-world jesus named dolores dei. yes the whole schtick of the ship is in the class differences between harry and dora becos harry is working class and dora is middle class (spawning the eternal question: are women bourgeois?) and dora got to up and leave their hellhole (loving) of a homeland when he couldn't!! yes class warfare is a major theme of discoE. yes /end propaganda. no worries if u do not wish to add them but in my heart they are a jeju.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, anon! Not being in the jeju poll doesn't mean your ship can't be jeju. And there can be straight jeju (to my friend Lilly who said Makoto Yuki/Aigis are jeju... your brain...), but the point of the poll is to point out toxicity between queer pairings as a parallel to JeJu, which is notoriously Yaoi. (I can't quite formulate a more serious sentence that says the same with better words.)

If you'd really like to be reductionist about it, the bracket in of itself could just be reduced to 'toxic yaoi/yuri, but also doomed and also betrayal'.

If there is enough calls for it however, I wouldn't mind running a post-bracket extra round with Straight JeJu, but keep in mind due to the general [waves hands ominously] Thing About Heteronormativity they may be held to a little more scrutiny. The blurb on the poll post isn't only silly but it does quite hold a little more truth to it.

Did you get many L/Light (Death Note) suggestions? When I read the rules , it's the first pairing that popped up in my head. Also, are there a lot of ships that include non-binary people amongst the suggestions? I'm really curious.

There's at least four-ish with nonbinary people in them! (and one tentative one regarding MizuEna but even then the ball's on the court on whether mizuki is nb or binary-adjacent. as a cis man i cannot and will not comment on this and i will use they/them for mizuki regardless.) and at least one NB/NB queer pairing in here!

I'm afraid I have to contradict you there and say that this is wrong.

I had to pull up the full bible passage and everything, but in the actual Bible, Jesus already knew Judas was going to betray him and Judas was like what the fuck about it. And he knew so much that Jesus was like no yeah this needs to be a canon thing. If I wanted I could just get you all to blow up.

The jeju part comes in when you see that it tells them that Judas betrayed him because of the devil but we all know it's because he was gay. This is required of most gay jeju adaptations.

This isn't like me being mean I just will defend jeju-esque shipping to my dying breath. The point is that they already knew they were doomed and they still did things anyways! The toxic is yaoi in nature. (sic).

2. how long are submissions open until? i was tempted to submit ramona/roxie from scott pilgrim (mostly based on the “just a phase” betrayal in the movie & then just Vibes in the comics) but the anime comes out this friday & we’re supposed to FINALLY get more backstory on their relationship bc we didn’t have a whole lot on them in the movie/comics so depending on if i had enough time i was gonna wait until then to decide whether or not to submit them

Not a ship but i think the song “AaAaAaAAaAaAAa” by Nashimoto Ui has a referance to Judas’s betrayals of Jesus.

The lyric “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow and it's killing me” sounds really similar to Matthew 26:39 “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me." Jesus says this too some of his disciples in the garden, before Judas’s betrayal

Sidenote but I love how many names Jesus/Judas ship has. I've heard Jedas, Christcariot, now JeJu..

I've heard all of these and I personally am a fan of Christcariot. JeJu was something I made my friends cook up but it fits too and I've gotten accostumed to calling them that because it rolls off the tounge easier.

I can say I love seeing actual Jesus/Judas fanart on my timeline. It heals my gay little heart....
