I really enjoy when I see headlines about things like dead whale carcasses that wash up on beaches near cities. Not because of some sick pleasure, but rather because it's like nature's artform. Art serves a reminder of uncomfortable truth. So, yeah, things die. And yeah, we chose to gather some non-nomadic collection of people in a city here to be free from the reminders and reality that you could die if you couldn't provide solely for yourself or rely on the guy next to you. Don't worry, humans. It's just a possibly explosive whale carcass filled with the gases of digestion and decay that might inconveniently explode on your beach. You are clearly the most dominant species on the planet.

The truly creative mind in any field is no more than this: A human creature born abnormally, inhumanely sensitive. To them...a touch is a blow, a sound is a noise, a misfortune is a tragedy, a joy is an ecstasy, a friend is a lover, a lover is a god, and failure is death. Add to this cruelly delicate organism the overpowering necessity to create, create, create--so that without the creating of music or poetry or books or buildings or something of meaning, their very breath is cut off.
