omg… i actually love the greatest showman. i watched that one when it came out, thank you for reminding me because i’m definitely making ivy watch too

ivy convinced me to watch hamilton with her last night somehow. i’d been avoiding it like the plague because i am not a musical person 😭 honestly did not enjoy most of it and i found it pretty overstimulating, which just cemented my perceptions about that form of media. it’s just not for me!

doing anything with ivy is the best though so i don’t regret a second of it (even if my brain was mush by the end.) the inside jokes and memories that’ve come from it made it all worth it. she rates it a 7/10 (too generous) and i’m sorry to any hamilton lovers but i would probably give it like a 1/10 🥲 i was not the target audience but hey she’s gonna make me watch chicago tonight so maybe my mind will change. there’s genuinely no one else that i would sit through hours of singing for though, if not her

abby is nosy as hell 😭 the way she's peering over this lady’s shoulder while she’s trying to read makes me giggle.

she’s reading a literary fiction novel too which makes it even funnier, because that's abby's favorite book genre and nearly all she reads. she's probably geeking out internally as she scans the page.

this made me think about how nosy abby probably is, just in general. she’s the type to quietly observe everything, but she’s not loud or messy. she wouldn’t dig through someone’s phone or start interrogating them, but she’s hyper aware.

she notices everything, stores it like a mental spreadsheet, and says nothing unless prompted. she doesn’t initiate gossip, but if you nudged her, asked what she saw, gave her that little “tell me, please” face? abby would cave. she’d grumble and act like she’s above it, but her smirk would give her away. she’d report back with just enough snark to feed your curiosity, because she secretly loves seeing you so gleeful about it.

she’d pretend she’s being dragged into it, but she’s totally complicit. especially if it makes you light up like that. excited, playful, dramatic in the way abby secretly adores. she’d smirk, and say, “let’s go sit on the porch. i’ll tell you everything.”

she eavesdrops when she hears someone talking about something unusual. she won’t necessarily comment on it, but she’ll file it away. she’d stand in the kitchen sipping her coffee, overhearing you talking to someone on the phone in the other room, arms crossed, eyebrow quirked, totally invested, even if she acts like she’s not. and if you glance in her direction, she pretends to stare at the ceiling while her brain hyper focuses on every word.

she peeks over your shoulder when you’re texting or scrolling, not because she doesn’t trust you, but because she’s just… curious and can’t help it. or like in the instance above, if you’re reading a book, she wants to know what it is. it’ll kill her not to.

she realizes something’s off before anyone else does— tone of voice, body language, subtle cues, and quietly adjusts her behavior and keeps an eye on the situation.

she remembers odd or funny things people say without letting on she was even listening. she’ll recall them later if it becomes relevant, surprising people with how much she picked up. but she typically keeps it all to herself. unless it directly affects someone she cares about, she’s not going to bring it up. it’s like quiet mental cataloging. not disruptive, just deeply tuned in.

her fucking job is intensive physical labor, every single day. when she’s not working, she’s still training. her body model is a crossfit athlete who was assigned female at birth and isn’t on steroids either.
