Special. One of a kind. That was what your parents called you. Well, being special can be dangerous and landed you in this blood soaked room. These monsters took you and killed the parents who dared to tell them no.

All you had done was bring back some extinct flowers for your mother’s garden and manifested some bees and extinct butterflies to pollinate them. You wanted to see her smile after long months of suffering through a lifelong illness worsened since her pregnancy with you. You wanted to make your dad laugh as he did with glee when those glittering wings manifested of colorful mist solidified into impossible shapes the reanimate those insects long lost to this planet and found only in books. Sweden was where you were born and raised to believe home was always going to be an impenetrable Eden. Long term though America was the dream where your parents’ studies and degrees could build a new set of opportunities in life.

Reputedly a scene was filmed where during the final battle Captain America saves an old man trying to protect his grandchildren. He tells him to ‘Get them to cover’ but as he walks away the old man asks him “Cap, is that really you?’. He turns and noting the man’s World War 2 veteran lapel pin trades salutes with him. As Captain America sprints away the children ask their grandfather ‘Do you know him?’ and he replies ‘We all know him’.

My mom saw the Materialists trailer yesterday and her reaction:

“Oh she better choose this rich man– oh wait who is this cutie (refers to John)? Yeah she needs to go with him they would make good looking babies”

In Honey Don't!, he plays Reverend Drew, a preacher who leads a congregation of dedicated minions who will grant any wish of sex or violence his twisted heart desires.

Honey Don't! offers an array of beloved character actors, like Plaza, Day, Billy Eichner, and acclaimed theater performer Gabby Beans. And they are all game for whatever damned thing Cooke and Coen throw their way. Where Qualley plays the straight man to this cluster of kooky clowns, Evans is a ringmaster of his own circus.

From the moment he flashes a comically insincere smile, there's a thrill of excitement.

Playing punchlines with a gleeful obliviousness, Evans creates a sharp satire of a certain brand of religious leader who believes too much in his own bullshit. His physicality is suitably absurd. Whether he's barking orders in the nude or giving the most hysterical delivery of the word "oui" ever committed to screen, he moves like a cartoon caricature of an arrogant buffoon. Props to Evans for finding a new and fantastic way to continue being America's ass.

I can’t imagine the emotion you are experiencing right now, but I’m so happy for you that you are able to feel such joy and satisfaction at good, hard work come to fruition.

As far as patience, we all need to take a break from things occasionally. I’ve been on one myself. I’m still here checking on things though, and I promise I’ll be back to fully engage again soon.
