Republicans are boot-stomping the American people by advancing Donald Trump's "big beautiful bill" that will strip Medicaid coverage from a staggering 10.3 million people. And it gets so much worse… The MAGA plan implements work requirements for childless individuals from ages 19 to 64 and prevents states from taxing health providers to pay for Medicaid programs. On top of that, it would penalize any states that pay for Medicaid for undocumented migrants. As usual, Republicans are mixing partisan political grandstanding with crucial government programs. 'Panic' in Ukraine as leaked confidential Trump peace plan astounds

The UK-based Telegraph newspaper has obtained a copy of a proposed peace plan being pitched by the Trump administration to Ukraine that has reportedly set off "panic" in Kyiv.

As the Telegraph writes, the plan delivered to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last week would "amount to the US economic colonization of Ukraine, in legal perpetuity" and also "implies a burden of reparations that cannot possibly be achieved."

In sum the plan would guarantee the United States half of the revenues generated by the extraction of resources in Ukraine going forward, as well as half of revenues generated by "all new licenses issued to third parties" in the country.

My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.

The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Some analysts applaud President Zelensky’s refusal to acquiesce to a deal involving the unethical theft of Ukrainian rare earth minerals by the United States. Other analysts believe that Zelensky, while naive, is thick-skinned and able to resist the pressure of the US hegemonic order. It seems that Zelensky can resist the pressure of the American order, but can other American allies also resist it? This is indeed a question that needs to be considered.
