I love this dip, we make it at work quite a bit. The colour is beautiful and it’s so easy to make!

All you need is

1 bunch of fresh beetroot (tinned is fine)

A little bit of olive oil for roasting beetroot and drizzling at the end

100g ricotta

Mint leaves to taste

Salt and pepper

Preheat your oven to 160c and wrap your beetroot with a little olive oil in aluminium foil.

When Craig and I bought our house in Woodcroft, we choose it because we would be close to a primary school and local shops.

The walk to the shops is quick and a really pretty walk.

My journey begins


So it’s 2019 and i’ve decided to take the plunge into the world of social media and start a blog about the balance of my home life and being a chef. This decision came after being injured in a recent car accident, I have realised how lucky I am to have such a good life and know there's gotta be more to it than working for someone else.
Being a young female chef and rising through the ranks to become a head chef by the time I was 24 was tough and a lot of hard work. I learnt so many things about food, wine and most importantly myself. After cramming a lifetime of work into only 10 years was exhausting and hard on my mind and body, it's time to start slowing down and getting the most out of the life I've worked hard to get.

Getting back to basics with myself and helping others along the way build their knowledge of food is a great way to share my skills and hopefully inspire others to get to know their kitchen a little better.

The rewards of that hard work for the last ten years is having a fantastic boyfriend (Craig) that I met in one of the kitchens I worked in, he's my rock and I love him so much.

We have 2 beautiful cats Chester the boy, he's just like a dog (it's weird sometimes) and Kahlua the little princess. Their both Tabby's but couldn't be anymore different from one another.

I'm here to help like minded people with their everyday life, share stories and products I love and give an insight to the restaurant industry.
