Heyy Tumblr. It's been a while...

I’m going to get straight to the point. I need to get some things off my chest since my last login & the aim away message has a character limit. So my angst is coming to the source, tumblr.

I quit my job last year with no prospects for a new one. I lived off my 403b cash-out for a while, maxed out all credit cards, and invested in a $4,000 course on how to start a business online.

A lot has happened since then but mainly, I’ve been listening to a lot of advice. I’ve tried EVERYTHING. Except…

Listening to no one and doing what works best for me.

The course didn’t help me find how I could best help other snad still get to my life life goals.

(owning a home with land for my dogs, a safe place for me & my son to come home to, have friends over, or travel wherever we dreamed of)

I’ve been an artist in some sense for most of my life, and even then I’ve always listened to the doubts of others and watered down what I wanted to create. I wasn’t going to “make a living” or I didn’t make enough money to “be a professional '' so I did what anyone would.

I created a career in IT with no degree or certificates & after 10 years realized I hated it so I quit after many days sobbing on the clock.

Now I help artists find their footing in business, manage their marketing without losing time to live, and I still don’t “make a living” so maybe i’m not “a professional” but I am making a difference. I’ve realized if I want to continue doing so without working 2 other jobs and fearing my banking app, I need to do things differently.

No investing in others’ advice or following better accounts with different advice.

I need to finally start doing the one thing I have never tried. Taking my own advice.

So this blog is supposed to be personal but it’s a fine line for me. Everything is personal. especially something I’ve poured so much of myself into. I share what I’m comfortable sharing, and unfortunately for you, that will probably be TMI.

But my work & my time is valuable and this is how I want to spend it. Being open, helpful, and completely myself. No matter what happens I always have me. & no matter where you’re at, I’ve got you, too.
