[ INSTANT EMILY ] Character from my 2nd book (Surf Squadron), misanthropic hacker girl whose secret weapon is an intelligent pug construct named Virgil. She's part of an "Economic Corrector" crew for the state (read: pro-economy subterfuge agents), the titular Surf Squadron. Here she is in her flesh machine.

[ THE SENTINEL ] Out in the long abandoned Outer Layer of the "Emperor's Great Wall" toils a small outpost, overseeing a low priority 'invasion point'. A 12 man skeleton crew guards a patch of nothing.... sure nothing there will go wrong...

[ THE PUNISHED DEFENDER ] By the Emperor's decree, punishment for not following orders and assassinating that delegate during the wetwork op and playing the toy soldier to a T, soldier M-T778 is permanently assigned to defend the desert flats (site A-11107) until reassigned by the Emperor... even after he's long left this world.

The machine is no longer amusing me. It becomes a chore, even to look upon its wares. Rotting garbage systems. I feared the lizards and their tombs would live forever and trap us all but they're collapsing all around us. Not even sure why I keep coming back.

It keeps happening. I keep starting new music projects. This one has a considerable backlog of ideas too. More or less it's a noise rock/synthpunk dealie along the lines of Cherubs, Big Black, Suicide, Cop Shoot Cop, and The Jesus Lizard, just bass guitar, synth, and drum machine.
