It’s been 30 years since Val Kilmer’s one and only turn as Batman in Joel Schumacher’s first Batman film. You heard my version of this recently but dam this really took over my summer in 95. Don’t think it lived up to the hype but it’s nice to look back on. Not as bad as Batman and Robin and it did influence the peoples joker so that’s neat.

It’s been 20 years since Christopher Nolan was brought up to the big leagues with his reinvention of Batman. It changed Hollywood and brought Batman back after all the Schumacher stuff.

10 years ago we got this coming of age high school movie about a dorky kid who becomes a drug dealer and is I think the first time I heard about Bitcoin in a movie. Also the director Rick Famuyima would go on to direct for the Mandalorian show and a lot of tv. Also the first time I noticed Shameik Moore who would go on to be the voice of Spider-Man in the Spiderverse movies and also be a fairly embarrassing person.

Throwback Video

Since Dogma is back in theaters and that Kevin Smith sorta has the rights back. Figured it was a good time to throwback to my review when I was doing my Kevin Smith series. This was a big movie for me as a teenager, probably watched it too much. I also think maybe Kevin Smiths best directed movie, maybe not best but definitely the direction was very on point. Makes you feel like maybe he could direct bigger movies, even if he never did.
