I remember spending so much time trying to have all my people trained and their very best. Too bad I didn’t realize how unnecessary that was. This game wasn’t that hard.

I like this except for the naked weirdo with the phone in front. I mean that’s a weird thing to include. Other than that it’s a cool idea. There’s an autobot version too.

Look at the contrast in levels of education. Top is the dumbest (not just for spelling and grammar) And bottom is the best of the three. This came from YouTube. You can't help but laugh at someone who's username is imdacoolestguy. LMAO

Big Scare
I'm not sure how many people who read this have ever had a long distance relationship. I've been in the same long distance relationship for 10 years and it's mostly on the internet. Well one thing about these LDR's is that sometimes you have very little options when you think something goes wrong. Last Saturday my boyfriend didn't get online at all. Not that unusual but by the end of Sunday and his status never going off of idle I knew something was up. Three days went by and I couldn't get a hold of him by phone or email or any of his IMs. None of his other friends had seen him or knew what happened. In a RL relationship you could just go to the person's house and find out what was wrong. Not so much in this kind. So after 4 days I finally heard from him and found out that he got heat stroke and had to go to the hospital. I was scared because I realized that if he died I might not have found out for a long time unless someone he knows called me. I know it would be a lot easier to find someone in the "real world" but sometimes you're so close to someone and invested so much in them that you can't turn around or give up on them. Some day we're going to meet and live together but for now I have to deal with scary things like not being able to contact the one I love in an emergency.

NaNoWriMo not just in November
The official NaNoWriMo site has branched off into a site that allows people to do NaNoWriMo during months other than November. I forgot which months they do but one of them is August and one before that. Here's a link to the site called Camp NaNoWriMo

Land of the rising water?
I'm glad I live in Colorado. Except for the occasional tornado which don't really effect the area I live in we're safe from most natural disasters. I think some parts of my state are in danger of the occasional forest fire too. But we definitely don't get Tsunamis or earthquakes or hurricanes. It's a pretty nice place to live. I'm going to try not to take it for granted while I think about the people in Japan who were hit the hardest by the recent onslaught of Mother Nature's temper. Hang in there guys!

THE GHASTLY COCONUT CRAB (birgus latro) IS THE LARGEST LAND-ARTHROPOD KNOWN TO MAN. THEY ARE BASICALLY ENORMOUS HERMIT CRABS THAT CRAWL AROUND, BUSTING COCONUTS OPEN WITH THEIR PINCERS AND GOBBLING UP THEIR CONTENTS. OH, AND IF THAT ISN’T TERRIFYING ENOUGH, THEY ALSO LIVE EXCLUSIVELY ON DRY LAND AND ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT.

Self Control and Lack Thereof
Or in this case, want thereof. I've come to some realizations about self control. Self control and self confidence seem to be rather similar. Both are learned and both help you. Each time you gain a little it accumulates with what you had before giving you more overall. The difference though, at least what I think, is that self confidence is a learned "trait", self control is a learned "ability" that must be practiced over and over to maintain it. The more you practice the more you'll have later when you need it. The opposite is also true.
I think lately I've been out of practice and really need to focus on denying myself rather than giving in to every desire. An example of this is my terrible fast food habit. While I would normally get two food items at Taco Bell maybe I should just get one and be happy with that instead. Maybe I should get a regular Pepsi instead of a large one like I normally get.
After making this realization about self control I headed over to Taco Bell to see if I could actually do it. Apparently I need a lot more practice at it. Oh well. Sometimes I really need to have a large Pepsi.

Novel update
My current word count for The Phantoms of Polaris is 16397 (aprox.).
So far this is the best NaNo year I've had to date. Each year it seems to go the same way where I think I can probably sort of do it and write a little bit sometimes and never really stay focused enough to stay on task. Eventually I would get so far behind that there would be no way to catch up or reach 50K by Nov. 30th. But not this year. I've kept a steady pace and haven't lost my motivation.
I'm writing a story that I've wanted to write for years but never gave it a shot. I actually had two candidates for such a story and I chose an RP that a friend and I have been doing for years. I've taken the main events and chosen the two characters have made the most impact on the RP and I'm writing their story from their perspective. It should turn out pretty well and the finished product should be well over 50K words. I'm looking forward to my first succesful NaNo.
As for my current word count I'm about 1800 words behind the daily goal. It shouldn't be terribly difficult to catch up.
