Before starting a big new fanart featuring older Luffy, Nami, Sanji, and Pudding, I wanted to properly design their kids first!

Here they are:

✨ Charlotte Kausa & Charlotte Madeleine – Sanji and Pudding’s children

🍊 Monkey D. Ace & Monkey D. Kaguya – the “Thief Twins,” children of Luffy and Nami

🍳 Charlotte Kausa – Son of Sanji & Pudding

A young cooking prodigy, Kausa inherited his father’s passion for the kitchen and his love for combat. He deeply admires Zoro and dreams of combining okama kempo with his own kitchen tools as swords — even if Sanji strictly forbade him from imitating the three-sword style. While his fighting ideas are… a bit chaotic, his culinary skills are undeniable, and he might just master the okama technique one day.

🍰 Charlotte Madeleine – Daughter of Sanji & Pudding

Sweet, cheerful, and always hungry, Madeleine is a bottomless pit who somehow never gains weight — just like her aunt Bonney. She has a major sweet tooth, inherited from her Charlotte side, and is especially close to her uncle Katakuri, who spoils her rotten. To Sanji, she’s nothing less than his little princess.

🍊 Monkey D. Ace – Son of Luffy & Nami

Reckless, loud, and full of energy, Ace is walking chaos. He constantly gets into trouble, but somehow always escapes Nami’s wrath with a grin or a wink. Despite being impulsive, he genuinely tries to follow his sister’s lead — emphasis on “tries.”

🌝 Monkey D. Kaguya – Daughter of Luffy & Nami

Smart and strategic, Kaguya is the calm to her twin brother’s storm. She’s the planner, the thinker, and often the voice of reason in their shared mischief — though make no mistake, she’s just as much a handful. Together, the Thief Twins are a perfect storm of clever, coordinated chaos.

Robin being the #1 shipper of these two idiots — a little progress check and a lot of love for the concept

This is a remake of a piece I did a while back — and honestly, the original has always been a bit embarrassing for me. Too many anatomy mistakes, awkward choices… you know how it is when you look back at something old. But despite all that, I’ve always been really fond of the idea behind it. So I decided to bring it back in a way that actually reflects how I draw now — something I could look at and feel proud of.

This time around, I focused a lot on making them feel like themselves. I put extra care into their expressions and gestures so their personalities came through naturally. I wanted that familiar chaos and sweetness between Luffy and Nami to show — and of course, Robin in the background being the ultimate quiet shipper. That’s a little headcanon I’ve always had: she often smiles at their nonsense in the manga, and I like to think she’s secretly rooting for them.

I also pushed myself technically in this one. I tried painting the hair more freely — building it up with brushstrokes and color, no lineart at first. I wanted it to feel loose and natural (hope it shows!). I even had to look up a tutorial to figure out how to paint the ocean hitting the sand — that was a first for me, and I think it turned out pretty okay.

I spent a good while struggling to draw Robin too — turns out I’ve gotten really used to drawing Nami, but not so much other girls lol. Still, I wanted to do it right and see how much I’ve grown. Comparing both versions is super motivating, and honestly? This fanart feels like the version I meant to draw from the start.

Robin siendo la shipper #1 de estos dos tontos — un chequeo de progreso y mucho amor por este concepto

Este es un remake de una ilustración que hice hace un tiempo, y sinceramente… la versión original siempre me dio un poco de vergüenza. Tenía muchos errores de anatomía, decisiones raras de dibujo… ya sabes cómo es mirar tus trabajos antiguos. Pero a pesar de eso, siempre le tuve mucho cariño a la idea que quería transmitir. Así que decidí rehacerla con el estilo que manejo ahora, para por fin sentirme orgulloso del resultado.

Esta vez me enfoqué mucho en que se sintieran como los personajes de verdad. Le puse especial atención a las expresiones y a los gestos para que sus personalidades se noten de forma natural. Quería capturar esa energía caótica y tierna entre Luffy y Nami — y por supuesto, a Robin al fondo siendo la shipper silenciosa definitiva. Es un pequeño headcanon que siempre he tenido: en el manga se ríe seguido cuando los ve tontear, y me gusta pensar que en el fondo los apoya.

También aproveché para probar cosas nuevas técnicamente. Pinté el cabello de forma más libre, con pinceladas en vez de lineart, construyéndolo con color y forma. Quería que se sintiera más suelto y natural (espero que se note!). Además tuve que buscar un tutorial para pintar el choque del mar con la orilla, porque nunca lo había hecho antes — y creo que salió bastante bien.

Dibujar a Robin fue todo un reto también — me he acostumbrado mucho a dibujar a Nami, pero con otras chicas todavía me cuesta el doble jaja. Aun así, quise esforzarme y hacer justicia a esta escena que me gusta tanto. Ver cuánto he mejorado desde la primera versión me da ganas de seguir avanzando. Este fanart se siente como el que quise hacer desde el principio.

Headcanons!

☀️🌻 After any gruesome fight, Luffy wrapped in bandages and resting on place, Nami lays beside him when the crew are not looking, like a cat comforting him as he nap

☀️🌻 When Nami is busy on her maps, Luffy watch her sometimes when she gets too busy as he peel her tangerines off (including the pith) before she know it, her tangerine is ready for her to snack on

☀️🌻 In the middle of their guard shift, when its just the two of them in the crows nest, they tell each other's childhood memories in the chilly dark

☀️🌻 Any treasures, jewels or gold related, Luffy always excitedly tells her were the items where and invites her to go treasure hunting with him

☀️🌻 Nami cuts Luffy hair when it gets long, he loves the way her fingers combs his hair and he's always sleepy when the trimming is done, its the only time where he sit still and be quiet which shocks her in her first cut, she even forgot to charge

☀️🌻 Rarely, when Luffy gets mischievous (really brave) he pranks her by putting Usopp's harmless bugs on her things. After crying out for help, he's always there to remove them, avoiding her wrath and poor Usopp is always blamed for it

☀️🌻 Times where Nami caught Luffy tried to open the lock on the fridge, she sometimes (depends on her mood) relents and cook him simple dish using the food in the cupboard just to keep him sated, and no she wont ever unlock and open the fridge right in front of him there's still a limit

☀️🌻 When the sunlight gets too heated and it hurts the eye, Nami uses Luffy's hat while watering her tangerine trees, or watching the sky and sea in fornt of the helm as luffy nap under the shade at the main deck, no permission asked

☀️🌻 Whenever Luffy saw Nami covered in bandages or injuries, he softly asked her if shes alright, or does he need to call for chopper. But he never forgets to remind her how strong and cool she were with a big grin on his face

☀️🌻 Nami's little ahegao hair is her Luffy radar, it twitches when she knew Luffy already entered something troublesome
