Obsessed with this non-existent silly post-s8 Wentworth au Em and I have made up where Grace grows up being co-parented by Jake, Vera and Joan

Jake and Vera aren't together necessarily, but they are on good terms and work great as Mum & Dad when together. He doesn't live with Vera, but he is an often enough presence in their house that the guest room admittedly has a spare set of his clothes in there.

Joan? She's the dad who stepped up. The true breadwinner for their family and is out there making a living to support her unconventional family that she has had to begrudgingly accept does include Jake.

Basically I want for Joan and Jake to have the most ridiculous cartoon rivalry dynamic. Imagine having them all sitting down for breakfast in the morning because they've all got some important family event planned, and Joan and Jake are speaking overtly nice and polite to one another across the table, but in a petty move they've both unknowingly attempted to sabotage each other's coffee and now have to sit next to Vera and smile as one happy family as they willingly drink their awful concoctions – because neither of them will be first one to break and spit it out, that would mean the other one won.

Meanwhile, Vera is sitting there between them with a beatific smile on her face feeding Grace.

"I'm so glad you two are getting along now," She says, seemingly ignorant to the way the other two are choking on their respective coffees.

Neither one would ever willingly disappoint Vera by letting her know that they are constantly making jabs at the other and simply can't seem to stand the other one. So they will instead continue to go to elaborate lengths to fuck with the other one in these tiny petty ways.

In reality, Vera is fully aware of this and she thinks it's hilarious

Also parent teacher interviews when Grace is of school age? Just imagine the comedic potential for having Joan of all people showing up to those interviews in general, let alone with overly involved Girl-Dad Jake sitting two chairs beside her. Vera has to sit between them as a kind of buffer/mediator in all of them, otherwise Joan will end up finding a way to get Jake kicked out and Vera doesn't want to have to deal with his pathetic sad puppy dog face afterwards
