Holy shit and for YEARS fans thought that Bolin guy was an ass. It sounds like Hussie did not give any clear direction for the people making music and art for him, Was actually writing stuff on the spot and was trying to be smug about it, Then started mocking him for being horribly confused and then frustrated by how he "works" with people. Bolins responses were so detailed because of the reality of this nauseating way he works with others, Not because he was being stuck up and uncooperative.

Even now, it's still seen as Bolin throwing a "tantrum". People dismiss Bolin because he was transphobic towards another team member, but it's not like Andrew Hussie was treating them any better when the one who composed Doctor, was trans themselves, but didn't do shit to help them when they ended up homeless. And when they died, Hussie did not make a post to mourn them. From what it looks like, everything behind the scenes of Homestuck and WhatPumpkin was already fucked from the get-go. It's just that Hussie and the others got a little better at hiding it by using the comic's presentation and results to distract readers from finding out what went down. It happened with Hiveswap when Gio investigated its development and of course with HS2/Beyond Canon that Hussie lied to freelance writers and artists so he can pay off a debt to Viz Media. Lots of stuff going down behind the scenes that it won't be revealed until years later. Whether it be NDAs that kept them silent, threats, or whatever, shady stuff has been going down that some fans are either ignorant to it or give the crew the benefit of the doubt because the fans want their precious series to continue.
