            “Skirt around them, obviously. Or wait until               they move on.”

{   He shrugged, glancing back the way he’d come.     How far back were the bandits, anyway? Surely     not too far. He wondered if they were moving on     from where he’d first seen them.   }

            “They’re at the crossroads, last I saw. So. Just              watch your back, I suppose.”

        while many students were frightened of professor umbridge,         there were a select few that were brave enough to stand up to         her. he already had the swelling mark on his hand to prove it.

        ` nothing, ` he replies with a smug little grin. in fact, he'd gotten         his hands on some puking pastille from the weasley brothers.         for a good price, too. he has to wonder how the professor would         react to a fainting student on her hands. or maybe she'd take it         from him and eat it herself, making her ill. that'd be funny.

        ` whatever you say. ` though it's obvious that fenrir doesn't         really believe it. for a gentle, docile man, he has fought plenty         of people in the past with both the steel of his sword and         magic. he has spilled more blood than he'd like to admit.

        ` which way would you suggest? `

           ”I don’t think that matters much. Something             is still better than nothing.”

{   His gaze flicked down to the sword, shifting     almost uneasily.   }

          “Yeah, and I’m sure those people back there             knew how to fight too, yet they got killed. No             offense, but I really don’t think you’ll stand             much of a chance against them.”
