A delicious burger with a twist, featuring a juicy beef patty topped with melted cheddar cheese, a sunny-side-up egg, fresh arugula, and zesty salsa verde. This combination creates a burst of flavors and textures in every bite.
Ingredients: 4 hamburger buns. 1 pound ground beef. 4 large eggs. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 1 cup arugula. 1/2 cup salsa verde. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup sliced red onion. 1/4 cup sliced tomatoes. Salt and pepper to taste. Cooking oil for frying.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat. While the grill is heating, divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty and allow it to melt. While the burgers are cooking, heat a small amount of cooking oil in a separate skillet over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook them sunny-side-up until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny. Season with salt and pepper. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or until they are lightly browned. To assemble the burgers, spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a burger patty with melted cheddar on top of the mayo-covered bun. Add a handful of arugula on top of the burger patty. Spoon salsa verde over the arugula. Top each burger with a sunny-side-up egg. Add sliced red onion and tomato slices on top of the egg. Finish assembling the burgers with the top half of the buns. Serve the Sunny Side Burger with Salsa Verde immediately while it's hot and enjoy!
