So Ma and my abuela were showing off their ponchos I made them and someone asked where they got the ponchos. After learning I made them and sold them, they asked how much it was to buy one [Ma and abuela got theirs free].

Cue the thing creatives hear way too many times; I'm charging too much and they could buy one cheaper at the store.

I'm not venting, but my goodness do so many people not understand the arts or any handmade goods. My ponchos are handmade and take MANY hours of labor whereas the ponchos at the store are machine made/mass produced- of course they're going to be cheaper. The irony is I'm actually undercharging for the ponchos and other people were saying how they charge double what I do for ponchos 😂 Some solidarity there at least lol
