Friends Season 8, Episode 5: The One with Rachel's Date.

This 5th episode from season 8 of the television series entitled FRIENDS had an editing mistake, particularly in this scene featuring Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) and Monica (Courtney Cox) inside a coffee shop. On the timestamp 06:01, it is evident that Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) is talking to Monica (Courtney Cox) herself. However, on the timestamp 06:07, we can see that the character of Monica is not played by the actress who usually portrays her but rather a stand-in. This editing mistake should have been addressed or at least edited by cutting Monica's scene in this part because it is too apparent, and the audience will talk about it and make a huge deal out of it. They'll question this stand-in/editing mishap, especially since it is not a scene where it requires the actress to perform stunts that are dangerous. Furthermore, it also ruins the viewing experience because the audience already has knowledge about the fact that the actors and actresses of the series have stunt doubles/ stand-ins for some scenes of the series, which may or may not disappoint them.

Discussion Board 1.3 Personally, I find this advertising campaign's way of narration to be creatively written, for it started by stimulating strong emotions (negative and quite offensive) emanating from the Filipino phrase "kababae mong tao…" which is usually followed by a negative commentary towards women. While the narrator or speaker recounts common "kababae mong tao" phrases, the video in the background portrays how women are strong-willed, hardworking, passionate, powerful, courageous, and talented despite these "kababae mong tao…" remarks. The video shows the counterpart of what is deemed a bad quality of a woman, but in reality, society demands women to embody that trait. For instance, "You're a lady, yet you speak so loudly." Well, that's because I am serving many people, and being soft-spoken would cause delays for people to get their orders on time. "You're a girl, yet you're still out late at night." That's because I am working for my family and our future. And by the end of the video, the narrator said, "kababae mong tao, kaya kahit ano kaya mo" immediately making the story's mood or tone positive and inspiring, contradicting the prior statements about women. Finally, I love the messaging of the advertisement, for it implies that you cannot stop people from saying "kababae mong tao" that's why instead of taking it the hard way, you can embrace it and empower yourself through these words.
