This the best writing advice I’ve ever read. Once you reach a minimum skill level, it’s all luck. Every decent story you write is a lottery ticket. You can’t control what wins, you can only control how many tickets you have. Every ticket increases your odds a little more, but your odds will always be pretty shit.
