Miraculous Ladybug AU/Clannad After Story

“Come stop your crying, it will be alright.

Take my hand, hold it tight.

I will protect you from all around you.

I will be here, don’t you cry..”

Clannad After Story + ML + Tarzan + Feelstrip + Motivation = This. So basically, this is what fandom does to people. 

 If you know what happened in Clannad After Story, you’ll understand the pain. Maybe. I watched Tarzan and Clannad last night so those movie/series inspired me to do it.

(The title’s too cliché, sorry.)

TRIGGER WARNING!! Feels ahead.

So for those who doesn’t know the plot of this Anime, might as well read the plot below (if you have time)

Initially depicting events occurring immediately after those in the first season, the timeline of ~After Story~extends several years into the future. The season begins by following Tomoya Okazaki as he completes high school and begins his life with Nagisa, to whom he has professed his love. As their life as a couple begins, Tomoya and Nagisa marry in Graduation, and shortly after, she is revealed to be pregnant.

As Nagisa’s pregnancy develops, she becomes increasingly bedridden, and the Okazakis struggle to cope with Nagisa’s continued and seemingly worsening illness. Tomoya, now working as an electrician to support his family, must leave Nagisa during the day, but she is cared for with the help of

Akio and Sanae. Tomoya eventually opts to quit his job to spend more time with Nagisa, and she gives birth to a daughter, Ushio. Shortly after the childbirth, however, Nagisa dies.

Following Nagisa’s death, Tomoya returns to work as an electrician, but falls into depression over the loss of his wife. The Furukawas are left to raise Ushio, and the first time she is displayed as a grown child, she appears timid around Tomoya, showing the lack of positive father-daughter interaction during the limited time they were mentioned to have spent together.

In The Ends of the Earth, while on a trip with Ushio, Tomoya meets his grandmother, who recounts to him the story of his father, Naoyuki. This persuades Tomoya to take an active role in Ushio’s life, and has Ushio move in with him. Later, however, Ushio is suddenly struck by the same illness Nagisa was afflicted with, and dies shortly thereafter, with Tomoya dying from exposure.

As the events of Small Palms unfold, the role of the Girl in the Illusionary World and the garbage doll are briefly explained. The Illusionary World collapses near the beginning of the episode, with the Girl dissolving into light orbs. Tomoya’s life from the time he met Nagisa is relived, and this time, Nagisa survives the childbirth. The younger Furukawas continue to raise their daughter peacefully, unafflicted by Nagisa’s, and Ushio’s, tragic illness.

So I’m really new to the fandom, but of course I’m already enamoured with the suave, dark, purple colour scheme middle aged villain man…

And my first impression after getting to see Adrien’s dad was also, that he’s HM. Mainly for the “is an asshole, is never around and the house has ornaments similar to HM’s window” But the more I browse the tag and see people’s comparison pic of how they even look similar… the more I realise how they actually do not look very similar?

The main difference is really how Mr. Agreste has a rather flat, ‘round’ nose and a pointy jaw, while HM has a very pointy nose and a wide jaw (and since the movement of the mask is following his mimic so much I doubt it’s a plastic nose cover…

So either they are deliberately changing the character model to throw us of, or Gabriel Agreste ain’t no Papillon.

My current vote, if HM is anyone we’ve already met, is with the minority on Mr. Kubdel, Alix’s dad. He’s the one organising the exhibition with that one papyrus scroll of ladybug. He made ominous comments about their family’s history. His family has been around long enough to have encountered a few Miraculous people. That magical/antique poketwatch with the same blue glow HM’s butterflies have. I’ve been obsessed with enough villains to know to keep an eye on the soft, side character history nerds! Especially when the hero’s magical powers come from/have been around since ancient times, that conveniently fall into side characters field of expertise…

The only problem is the “miraculous” (haha) moustache disappearance.
