NO. 21: Revival Remedy

The special effects of this coating were cute with all the festival vibes and lanterns! But so hard to capture ahh...

NOCTIS: Sky Rider

Enter Noctis! One of the first characters I heard of from Punishing: Gray Raven. When we finally meet him in the story, suffice to say I'm happy with both his chapter and his gameplay!

This particular coating was free during the event!

VERA: Grandoise Glamor

Fairy Garment - Her lance can break through any formation; her horse has trampled over the western land. "Once upon a time, there was a valiant female general who had achieved countless merits. After retiring from the royal guards, she became a guardian of Babylonia city, bringing doom upon all thieves and bandits. Vera is the captain of Cerberus and one of the first characters we are introduced to in the main story. This particular frame of hers is actually one of my favorite units. It is gorgeous and one I loved at first sight!

While I was editing this, I thought to myself why this pose looked so familiar when it hit me that it's similar to one of Jiyan's official art! Not the back shot of them looking back at the camera. 😆😆 Extra points to Vera for showing off her banner spear with the matching weapon coating~

It doesn't help that this coating's appearance really brings Jiyan to mind. There's the green, for one thing. (The usual Vera is mostly, in typical Kuro/PGR fashion, black+white+a splash of color, the red in Vera's hair.)

Then there is also Vera: Garnet's moveset as a (banner) spear user + this particular coating having special effects similar to Jiyan's battle animations with the green dragon...

I, too, am AMAZED at how I managed to capture the above picture! Her Signature Move with the dragon special effect from her Core Passive (think of it like the Forte Circuits in WuWa) is visible in the background. My favorite from this photo set for sure!

I remember when this coating was first released on CN. I thought to myself that this is the closest we could imagine how Jiyan's skill animations would look in the then unreleased Wuthering Waves. Looking at Jiyan now, I'd say close enough!

CERBERUS: Fairy Garment

The first team coating (outfits/cosmetics/skins) in PGR, and it's not for the Gray Ravens. Also my first Punishing: Gray Raven post on tumblr! And again, it's not the titular Gray Ravens 😂🙏

Cerberus is one of the teams we meet in PGR composing of Vera, Noctis, and No. 21.

In the previous patch, the Cerberus team had a couple of firsts for the game: the first Team Signature Move, and first team-wide themed coatings!

For the Team Signature Move: if you play Wuthering Waves, think of it like the Dream Link/coordinated Ult gameplay in the Somnoire.

For the team-wide themed coatings: when PGR releases coatings, it's usually released individually only for characters and independent of their teams or allegiances, with varied themes, so these coatings are really special!

Alongside these was a special story behind these coatings, complete with voice-overs in CN! For a game whose story is presented in a visual novel style, and mostly devoid of voice overs even in the main story, it's really refreshing.

WAKING OF A WORLD

Hello, world!

Since I've finished uploading my "Mementos of Teyvat" photo series as a sampler of my Genshin gallery, I decided to upload my "Waking of a World" photo set for Wuthering Waves!

Fittingly, it's my first Wuthering Waves photo set, too, showcasing our two Rovers in one of the first, interesting, limited domains; and a collection of our starting screens at different times of the day!

MEMENTOS OF TEYVAT: Natlan

Welcome to Natlan!

We're nearing the end of this collection, yay! I hope you all enjoyed this mini-tour of Teyvat, just as much as I did.

Funny story: when we first arrive in Natlan, we have this conversation with Kachina, right? And then this huge bird/dragon flies by to give the game an excuse to give us a panoramic view of Natlan in all its glory. Problem was... when that moment happened for me, it was RAINING!!!! Ruined the moment a little hahaha!

But, at least my eyes didn't get blasted with sunshine!

It was also on this photoshoot that I discovered that there is a bit of a time difference between each shot of the event camera during coop. It was a bit of a surprise, and could be frustrating at times, especially when looking for ✨that one shot✨ but it also resulted in some good ones, at least!

MEMENTOS OF TEYVAT: Fontaine

This is a collection of photos I took that recreate the shots featured in the "Mementos of Teyvat" photography event featured in-game in Version 5.0. Plus some miscellaneous pics I took during the event with the event camera. Fontaine chapter~

This set is probably the easiest to take pics of! Everything's ground-level, and once I found the almost perfect angle, it's just a matter of taking the pic.

For Lynette's, I only have to look out for the idle animation... Truly relaxing, fitting for the end-part of this "Memento of Teyvat" photo series.

On that note, I think I pressed the capture button too early (look at her teaspoon). I think it looks nicer this way, though, since it doesn't overlap with her nose.

I think Fontaine really fits well with Lumine. Her light appearance with soft colors and gentle blue accents are one thing. Another thing would be that Fontaine gives me the impression that the nation in general would feel rather cool to the senses if it were tangible. The water would feel nice under the sun, and the mountain breezes must feel cool when running around Fontaine's countryside.

This last Lumine pic, especially—it looks ethereal! It's not just the mysterious spinning fountain at her back, but also the many, many constellations floating around her and the one in her eye!

(Very "you have the rainbow in your eyes" Fairytopia vibe for me. 💕🌈✨) And I always think Lumine feels very much like a fairy/fae/one of the fair folk, or an angel...)

MEMENTOS OF TEYVAT: Sumeru

"Do you like the color of the sky?"

This is a collection of photos I took that recreate the shots featured in the "Mementos of Teyvat" photography event featured in-game in Version 5.0. Plus a collection of miscellaneous photos from the event~

For me, Sumeru's collection of pictures are the second easiest one to take a pic of, after Lynette's/Fontaine. Take Collei's: lining up the shot and the location is pretty easy, but the tricky part is in the timing of Collei's Elemental Skill. Which... well, I chose not to give myself too much of a headache from hahaha!

As for the pics of King Deshret's Pyramid, I went on a little trip in the Sumeru desert to try and see if I could recreate the shot, which I did... barely. The photo spot was somewhere on the edge of a cliff. If I had the power to do so, I would have shifted a bit more to the right for a closer rendition, but, well, the game and I have our limits.

This one was a head-scratcher, since the event location was facing the pyramid somewhere at the pyramid's right side. The in-game album picture, however, was obviously a shot of the pyramid from the left side!

On the posting side of things, they got flagged on Instagram, so I posted something else there. Which was a shame! The pictures of the pyramid at different times of the day were rather interesting, if you ask me. And, fittingly here on tumblr, reminds me of that one legendary tumblr post!

This is a collection of photos I took that recreate the shots featured in the "Mementos of Teyvat" photography event featured in-game in Version 5.0, Inazuma chapter~

The Kazuha pics were pretty tricky. I had to touch this up some to match the in-game pic, and even then, the picture angle was just IMPOSSIBLE to catch! I had to stand behind my friend's Kazuha and pray the camera doesn't glitch in the middle of the photoshoot.

In any case, I love how candid these turned out!

This is the vibe I strive to capture in my photos.

MEMENTOS OF TEYVAT: LIYUE

Collection of photos I took that recreate the shots featured in the "Mementos of Teyvat" photography event featured in-game in Version 5.0. This time, we're in Liyue~!

The Xiangling pic was fun to find. I knew for sure that it was somewhere along mountain road at the gates of Liyue, but I had to fine tune it to find the perfect spot to make a close rendition to the reference photo. Turns out, I had to take a pic on top of a roadside lantern!

The view of Wangshu Inn was a more challenging. 👀 There wasn't a high enough vantage point in the Guili Plains like the one for the Dvalin's Nest pic. Scrambling on top of a lantern post wasn't the right angle, either.

In the end, I tried flying down from the top of Wangshu Inn. As you can see, it looks great and pretty close to the reference pic!

(I included the original picture that I took for the recreation pic. I had to edit out Xiao, though, for a closer rendition. Sorry, Xiao!)

I'll always love how warm photos in Liyue turn out! Lots of oranges and yellows~

My favorites are probably the Zhongli shots. 💕💕 He looks so lovely walking around Liyue, then looking up at the inn.

Then I caught one shot of him jumping, balancing out the somber vibes with a playful one to match the energy of the photos with Xiangling!

I got jealous of the very cute Amber pic they featured in the in-game album, so I decided to recreate it and the rest of the pictures in the album so I'll have a picture of better quality.

I'm jun and I like taking photos!

That said, for now I'll mostly be cross-posting my works from Instagram to here on Tumblr. I want to have a better, more accessible and manageable online collection of my works, and I believe I'll be able to have that on Tumblr. (It's the ✨tags✨, the customization, and the blogging system in general.)

I figured my Genshin anniversary post would be a nice start (or restart, for that matter) for me here in Tumblr, so again: Hi, reader!

I started my own journey on Teyvat four years ago on the 28th of October. Posted late by almost a month here on Tumblr but still, happy anniversary to me!

It's been a long journey. Here's to more! 🥂

To commemorate: my favorite Lumine and Aether picture out of all the Lumine and Aether pictures I took during the Mementos of Teyvat event.

I love taking pictures of them together, entertaining the "what if they were journeying together instead" scenario. A little something to be happy about!

I took a bunch more pictures with a similar vibe and setting, since I was milking this event for what it was worth, but nothing could top this one in particular. The two of them walking along the shore of beginnings, Lumine skipping a little bit ahead and Aether chasing after her…

Their motion in the stillness of the shore, much like the ripples they've made in Teyvat in the actual story, no? But in a lighter, happier scenario, that is.
