and i'm hating myself because you don't want to
in which he can't help but wonder why you chose him
Tumblr media
he went by many names. tartaglia. childe. the eleventh harbringer.
and ajax. the only name truly close to his heart. you were the only person outside of his family to ever call him that, and it sounded far too sweet coming from you.
you spoke to him as if you didn't know what kind of unforgivable things he had done. every word that fell from your lips was so saccharine that for a moment-- only a moment, he allowed his eyes to flutter shut and enjoy you fully without remorse or hesitation.
he allowed himself to believe that he truly deserved you, that he lived in a world in which he was worthy of you. but that world didn't exist. it never would, but he could dream. he could dream while he basked himself in the sunshine of your lovely voice, memorizing the way you felt in his arms.
but cruel reminders of his reality turned the dream into a nightmare. the scars on his hands that made him feel ashamed to even touch your soft, unblemished skin. the blankness and cruelty in his eyes that never deterred you. the summons from the fatui that cut his time with you short.
you were too good, too pure, and yet he allowed himself to revel in your presence. greedily accepting your love even if he was undeserving. selfishly keeping you for himself, even if there were so many others that came without the baggage.
Tumblr media
he played with your fingers as he laid in your lap, their smoothness so different from the texture of his own scarred ones, weathered from the decades of practicing weapons.
"ajax, you're being quiet again." you said softly, a fond smile on your face as you look down at him.
"am i?" he couldn't help the twitching of his lips at the sight of your smile.
you were too bright, too good for him. if you were the sun, he was the black hole looming over the solar system. if you were a flower, he would be the weed that stole all of the soil's nutrients to itself. you didn't see it yet, but he did. he would be your undoing. he would be the cause of your painful end. but he still couldn't bring himself to let you go. "what's going on in your head, huh?" you grinned, soft fingers carding through his hair.
"why....why did you choose me? why me? why....why do you love me?" and he finally spoke, his insecurities finally confirming their existence.
"that's a stupid question," you poked his forehead as if you couldn't believe the words coming from his mouth. "why wouldn't i love you? you're so easy to love, so of course i'd fall in love with you. i mean, you're gentle, you're kind, and you treat me well. what's not to love?" you speak plainly, as if it was so simple.
"but i almost destroyed your home," he looks at you with those sad blue eyes of his, and your heart cracks a little at the fact that he's been internalizing this despair for so long.
"yeah, and i love you despite all that. doesn't that say a lot about how much i truly care about you?" you say softly, not realizing the way those few words healed him.
he doesn't say anything, and you don't acknowledge the way his eyes well up with tears.
"i love you, you know that?" you trace the lines of his face, your fingers delicately smoothing across the slope of his nose and the arch of his eyebrows.
your eyes are so loving it makes him want to rip his heart out and present it to you, saying, "here it is. it's yours. it was only ever yours. to own, to break, to love, my heart beats only for you."
but he doesn't do that. he just stares up at you, and in that moment, he actually feels like he might be someone worthy of your love.

Keqing was in favor of technology, of progress, and being able to avance further without being restrain by tradition, without discarding them. She understand that they are important to people but that shouldn't stop the progress.
The creator was one of them. Far than being just a tradition, it held back the nation of Liyue for a long time, and even today. That is why Keqing was reluctant as seing the creator being reborn. Of course, meeting the creator in place of the seven Qixing and representing Liyue was a honor. She would have been truly foolish to let pass such an occasion. With Rex Lapis stepping down dead at the rite of ascension, it was up to the Qixing to show up at the meeting between Liyue and the creator.
She was chosen as the one that would go there, as she has bright ideas for the futur that the Creator might be please to hear. Her bold suggestion might show to the creator a new view on Liyue.
Anxiety was eating her whole, making her repeat her speech a hundred time, the fear was controlling her, making her move like it intended to, forcing her to feel inconfortable even in her own clothes. Her own stomach betraying her by letting bile go to her mouth before forcing it back to her stomach.
Fear of disappointing this high status person. Someone she isn't allow to annoy. She won't messed up. She didn't do all that just to fail.
On the day of the meeting, it wasn't fear that she felt. It was pure horror. While entering the room, she wasn't overwhelmed by pure, divine power. No shine in the eyes of the creator. No nothing. Fear take her instead of devotion.
The only thing the Qixing couldn't foreseen was the possibility of the creator being a fake. And that by having less faith, by not being blinded by it, she would pass for a heretic, if it was known.
From this day on, she would have no one to talk to anymore.

Immortal Infatuation..
Tumblr media
Summary: The God of Contracts was supposed to be reserved and stone-hearted, so why did you make him feel this way? Even after all these centuries? ❤︎︎
Characters: Fem!Goddess! Reader x Prime! Morax, Guizhong and the Adepti as side characters (≧◡≦) ♡
Warnings: Quite a long fic, also indulgent! Fluff and Romance, lots of angst at the end though, be wary! ❤︎︎
Notes: This totally isn’t fuelled by the new leaked cutscenes, haha.. i can’t help it, Morax just looks too good here! ( ˘ ³˘)♥︎
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were merely an acquaintance to the Geo Archon, nothing more, right? Those momentarily soft gazes and his polite mannerisms weren’t exclusive to you, right? Well, that’s what you thought.
As a more obscure goddess in the land of Liyue, you didn’t expect nor convince yourself that the most beloved God would take an interest in you, it was rather unrealistic, even for a divine being.
So why did your beloved friend Guizhong insist on you meeting him? Or for the Adepti to respect you so much? It all seemed perplexing to you, something the most eccentric of architecture you could create, or the theatrical arts with a twisted interpretation, wouldn’t compare to.
It resembled a moth around lanterns, a thought which wouldn’t leave your mind and almost felt essential that it should be enlightened to you. This feeling only returned stronger when you were conversing with Guizhong on Mt. Aocang, accompanied with teapots brewing with exquisite teas and offerings left on the stone table.
‘Please, Dear Friend! Just take up my request, he would be so delighted to meet you!’ She pleaded, propping her hands onto yours. ‘Morax is especially fond of the arts, which you specialise in.’ You only sighed anxiously, wiping off the non-existent dust on your lilac hanfu. Now she understood your hesitation.
She silently stood from her seat, making her way over to you as she began to comb through your hair therapeutically. Her dainty fingers arranged your hair into a neat plaited updo, securing an aurate, floral hairpiece within it. Guizhong smiled fondly, turning you around by your shoulders to face her.
‘Do not fret, i will take care of that, for now let me help you get ready.’ She comforted, producing a small pouch from her pocket, pulling various jewellery and make-up items from it. From your soft, painted lips to your violet, complimentary eyeshadow, she took care of it.
‘There we are…Perfect!’ With a final additive of fragrance, Guizhong admired her work. She thought you always looked gorgeous, especially when you were in regal attire. You greatly appreciated her compliments, reflecting them back at her.
‘Apologies, am i interrupting?’ A husky, deep voice remarked. Although you have only heard from your companions regarding him, the gentle undertone in his voice came as a surprise.
‘Ah, Morax! Look who i’ve brought with me!’ Guizhong introduced, turning to face you towards him by your shoulders. You wondered how obvious the flush across your face was. When he had came closer, you bowed slightly as a wordless acknowledgment.
At first glance, you couldn’t help but notice his golden, intricate eyes, or his arms which were decorated in the same manner. Maybe how defined his features were through that thin shirt of his…
‘It’s a pleasure to meet you, Morax, please accept this gift.’ You quietly offered, retrieving the decanter of osmanthus wine you had brought with you after learning how fond he was of the drink. His eyes seemed to flick from you to the bottle, repeatedly before graciously taking it from your hands.
‘Thank you dear, why don’t you come with us?’ Morax suggested, who would of known he was such a gentleman? All throughout the indulgent conversations you two had, partially fuelled by Guizhong’s futile attempts at matchmaking, it was as if you could trace the path the archon’s irises took upon you.
Despite the awkwardness you three displayed, you considered this meeting a success! Aside from the obvious chatting about duties as a diety, you found Morax had a more…refined personality. His love for nature and tradition held above all, you could only feel flattered as he expressed his admiration for your speciality.
Gatherings such as this occurred more frequently as eons flew past, from small talk to teases, this trio of yours grew inseparable. The aged stone table brought all sorts of memories back to you.
‘Checkmate, again!’ You giggled, watching Rex Lapis’ eyes widen for the sixth time that duel, he breathlessly chuckled back, resting his chin in his palm, defeated. Seems he left the King open to attack carelessly.
‘As expected, nobody could beat the goddess herself in her own game.’ He responded, watching you reposition the pieces upon the chess board once more, grinning at his statement.
‘Who knows? Perhaps in a few centuries you will surpass me in my skill, even if i might not be around to witness such.’ You casually mentioned, not noticing how Morax’s heart dropped in in his chest. A life without you? Never, even erosion couldn’t take you away from him, it wouldn’t dare.
He reached across the table to intertwine his fingers with yours, ‘Please darling, do not say such things, i’d break a contract if it meant keeping you here with me.’
So why, why did you leave him alone, again? Why did he have to witness your limp figure in a field of bloodshed and decaying flora? Why wasn’t he there to hear your last words? The burning question in the abyss of his heart, Why did he leave his feelings for you so late?
You could of roamed the bustling streets of Liyue Harbour, watch the lanterns illuminate the sky like constellations that could manipulate your destiny to be less tragic. Zhongli wouldn’t have to traverse alone, rather with you, once more.
He couldn’t help the blur of his vision as the checkerboard infront turned against him. Casting his gaze downwards, this was your last request and he couldn’t even fulfil it? The younger male duelling him panicked seeing how forlorn Zhongli appeared.
‘Wait, Xiangsheng! What happened? Did i do something wrong?’ Childe frantically insisted, attempting to sympathise with the retired archon. A simple dismissal from him, shaking his head.
‘Childe, Have you ever lost someone you’ve loved so dearly?’ Zhongli confessed with a shaky voice, shimmering tears freely flowing from his tired eyes for the first time in eons. He hoped that wherever your soul resides, you wouldn’t forget his affection for you, as Morax and Zhongli.

Lost Child
TW’s: mentions of child abandonment
Pairings: Kaedehara Kazuha x reader
Word Count: 930+
A/N: I might do this scenario with other characters.
Tumblr media
You were aiming to have a good day today, not to have some random child clinging onto your leg like he was going to die if he let go.
He didn’t even tell you his name, he just saw you and quite literally tackled you. And ever since then he hasn’t let go. So cue you walking around with a child stuck onto your leg.
You groaned in annoyance as you looked down at the kid, he wouldn’t tell you what his name was so you were searching around for anyone who might be looking for a child.
Much to your dismay there seemed to be no one looking for one. Did they perhaps drop him off permanently? You hated to think so but that could well be the case.
You sighed as you stopped walking, causing the kid looked up at you. “If you won’t tell me your name this is going to take longer”, you crossed your arms.
The kid shook his head as he buried his face in your leg, still clinging onto you. You sighed again and went to pick him up, which he gladly complied to. This kid seemed almost, familiar with you.
You brushed it off as you adjusted him on your hip. You continued on you quest to find this kid’s parents, despite knowing it might all be in vain.
“Okay then little buddy, I guess we’re doing this the hard way”, you made your way done to the port. Maybe a sailor had seen something related to this kid.
You asked around for a few minutes, but ended up with as much information you had started with. You could ask Mr. Zhongli, he was the most knowledgeable man in Liyue after all. But he was down with a cold that you didn’t want you nor the kid to get.
Beidou could know something then? Maybe so, she’s basically know everyone in Liyue. She could know if someone had a child that looks like the one you’re holding. Let’s see…she should be back from her venture to Sumeru. If you’ve counted the days right, that is.
You decided to see if you were right, and it seemed so because a few feet down the port was The Crux. You breathed out in what seemed to be relief as you head there with the kid still clutching onto you. He was a quiet kid for someone his age.
And just your luck, you didn’t see Beidou anywhere on the ship. Nor on the port. Great.
”Dove?” You heard the familiar voice speak. You turned around to see Kazuha looking at you in somewhat confusion, “Are you…Is that your child?”
Your eyes widened as you remembered why we were here in the first place, seeing Kazuha caught you off guard. “Oh, no! It’s um, I found him. I was looking for Beidou because I thought she might know some people who had a kid that looks like him.”
Kazuha nodded, seemingly understanding the situation now, “I’m afraid she has already left for the Jade Chamber, but I can be of assistance.” He put his hand to his chest and smiled.
“That would be wonderful, thank you”, you smiled back as you glanced down at the kid who seemed to he fascinated with Kazuha’s maple haori.
“Let’s see, where have you looked so far?” Kazuha asked, stepping closer to let the child tug on his haori. Of course he would notice the child’s gaze on it.
“All around the harbor, and I would’ve tried the villages but I doubt a kid this small would’ve made it from there to here unscathed.”
Kazuha nodded at the information, “I don’t mean to be harsh, but have you considered this child to be an orphan?”
“What? What do you mean?” You glanced between Kazuha and the child. You hadn’t thought of that, actually.
“Well for example, he seems to be clinging onto you tightly. A child that had parents would he looking for them as-well, and not seeking comfort from a complete stranger. He also seems to be quite skinny, perhaps he’s homeless, too.”
Kazuha met your gaze, “I also believe if the parents did throw out this child, then someone would’ve saw it and reported it to the Millelith. Liyue is far from empty, dove.”
Your mouth formed an ‘o’ shape as you took in Kazuha’s words. He was right because it all makes sense. But what would you two do with the child? You could just drop him off with the Millelith but he seemed so safe and comfortable with you…
“Kazuha would you be up to keeping him?” You question caught him off guard as you stared sr you. “I know how it sounds but he seems so safe with me…and I’d hate to have to drop him off with the Millelith.”
Kazuha’s brows furrowed in thought, “I suppose we can, but I am away with The Crux often…I would have to move in with you if that’s the case.”
“I’m fine with that”, you responded quickly, “yeah you can move in.”
Kazuha nodded as he moved in to kiss the top if your head, “I’ll go inform Beidou of our plans. Does he have a name?”
You looked down at the kid who was glancing between you and Kazuha. You thought for a moment before responding, “Hajime, for a new beginning.”
Kazuha seemed pleased with the name before he nodded and left to go see Beidou. The child looked up at you, a small smile on his face. You smiled back, before watching Kazuha disappear in the crowd.

✤------------------------------------------✤
◈Empty promises◈
✤------------------------------------------✤
<Diluc x Reader>
-Angst ~ No comfort
Summary: No matter how sweet his words and promises are, you knew deep down that its just bluff.
Gender: Female
Warnings: Cheating, Neglect, bad writing skills, toxic relationship, leaving without telling a word[thats all i think]
A/n: This story is inspired by @myyaworld
I hope you enjoy~!
(Feel free to correct my grammar)
---
It was honestly pretty tiring, sleeping, waking up, and eating without him by your side.
He barely comes home!
You grew tired but you hold on because you thought he will change and you loved him to much.
'Dear Diluc, '
You send him letter every single day but you never get nothing in return to the point that you think that the letters never reached him.
.
.
.
You finally grew suspicious when your friend(a worker of his) told you thats hes not coming home to you cuz hes too busy fucking other womens to even think abt you.
You remembered that back then he also cheated on you but asked for forgiveness and said those empty promises he made.
"I promise i will never do it again! Please forgive me!"
"I can never think my life without you"
"I love you, only you! Those other women meant nothing to me"
And blah blah blah
He made so many empty promises that you cant even remember the last time he kept one.
.
.
.
One day, when he went out to go to work. You saw he forgot his lunch and decided that you can bring it to him.
You went to his bar but before you can even go inside, you saw through the window him with another woman sitting on his lap.
You were stunned but not suprised
You kind of expected this but not so soon..
Its only been 1 month since his last cheat..
Ig it already turned into a routine, a cycle...
Diluc cheating
You finding out
Diluc asking for forgiveness
You forgive him
He gives you affection for 1 week
Then suddenly act like strangers
He cheats
Then the cycle repeats..again..again...and again..
It all started when you two got married
He wasn't like this before..
Back then..
He always makes time for you even if its just short..
He pampers you with affection everyday
You always go to bed snuggled on him
You eat with him
You hang out with him
And etc.
But now?
Why?
Did he got bored of you after 6 years of being together?
Well..you cant blame him, after 6 years with being with someone and always drowning yourself with work, of course he got tired and wanted to try someone new..
.
.
.
You got tired of this cycle
You patiently waited for him for years but in the end..you got nothing but lies.
You were so..delusional..and always at your own little world thinking things thats probably not possible..
Thats why, you get your hopes up for nothing.
.
.
'Dear Diluc,'
You wrote Diluc one final letter..
You were done, you were hurt
You were leaving him for good
.
You wrote at the letter on
how unhappy you both are
How it good if you both seperate ways
How you wont be coming back
How your hurt
Everything you felt
You put it all there..
But you didn't tell him that your moving to liyue..
Your mother needs assistant and asked you to help her when your free, you accepted and will be leaving in a few minutes...
You left the letter at the counter, where it is visible when he comes home.
.
.
You started packing your things on a suitcase.
You left your ring
You left everything that he gave you so you wont feel in dept.
You put on your coat and headed out the door.
You gave one last look at the house before leaving for good.
You were finally free.
.
.
.
---
*Masterlist*
Heyy i hope you enjoyed it!
Sorry its a bit short!🫠
