What is so genius about this post is that it's actually canon.

In Frankenstein, Elizabeth actually writes to Victor when he's in England (having swanned off with Henry, as described above, ostensibly to make the creature a wife.) In the letter, Elizabeth asks Victor if he's into someone else.

Like, straight-up, you guys.

She's like, you've been gone a long time with your bestie... And, is pretty much fishing to see if it is, in fact, Henry that Victor is into. She's all, "the love you show me is like that of a devoted brother to his sister," and she points out that maybe this isn't the same ardor that she feels towards him. And, she's very "Hey, it's cool, man. We can call off the wedding...."

Sadly, Victor writes back to deny it all.

But people who think we're writing queer into everything aren't reading carefully. It's right there.

Even Mary Shelley shipped Henry and Victor.

AITA for not telling my fiancé I know he’s queer? 

I 20s (F) have a 20s (M) fiancé, V, and he’s been talking about this terrible secret he cannot tell me and he keeps almost starting to come out and then backing out. The issue is V and I were raised together by his parents, and my surrogate 40s (M) father and (now deceased) surrogate mother arranged for our marriage back when we were both children. They thought it was the best for us and at the time we were too young to realize the implications and had no reason to reject to the match. When we were teenagers our mother was on her deathbed and she told us again that she wished for us to marry, and of course we both agreed. However, V is also best friends with a 20s (M) guy called H, and they were nearly inseparable as boys and teens. They also went to university together and shared an apartment but V had to come home due to family reasons. Lately he’s been going out all day and coming home at night hours later. He insists that he’s fine and that we all leave him alone and not worry for him, but I think he and H have been sneaking around. He even delayed our wedding day by arranging a trip to go to England alone with H. It’s exhausting for all of us and I think I should just tell V I know and support him and that we can call off the marriage, but I’m not sure that’s the best course of action? I’m completely fine with not marrying him - he always felt more like a brother to me anyway - but I worry it might come off wrong. The worst part is he’s really beating himself up about it. He’s so guilty it’s beginning to take a toll on his health. I don’t care if he has a boyfriend I just want him to be happy.

What I wish is that ANYONE would talk more about the fact that Victor Frankenstein clearly created the actual philosopher's stone (without even finishing university.)

for a contemporary adaptation of frankenstein I don't think you'd even have to change the alchemy thing. a mostly-homeschooled kid born in 2000 who found a bunch of agrippa and paracelus books in his tweens and never found out that all the science in there was hundreds of years outdated is exactly the kind of character I want to see on the screen. give me a little freak who gets accepted to university and doesn't understand why there are no philosopher's stone courses available.

I bet no one predicted that my return to Bleach fic would be a very weird Renji/Urahara? You got that one on your 2024 bingo card? No? Yeah.... me neither.

If you read this, my only warning is that it's weird. Also, funny? But decidedly weird. I think one of the reasons I so rarely write Urahara Kisuke having sex with anyone is because this is the guy who invented a BLOW-UP GIGAI OF HIMSELF.

So... you know, I guess I always figured there was some kind of kink going on there....

So, yeah, some of my long time Bleach fan fic fans probably don't know this, but I've been a professional author for some time writing under the names Lyda Morehouse and Tate Hallaway. (Surprise!)

One of the reasons I haven't been publishing much Bleach fic lately is because I've been busy writing a book.

So, I should really be writing on my Aizen/Ichigo omake or returning to my long abandoned Renji/Byakuya epic soap opera, but instead I got hit with a plot bunny after watching the newest trailer for the next season of the Bleach anime.

This one is weird and short and entirely gen, so probably appeals to no one but me.
