Babysitting for my brother today while he and his wife are out of town. I went into the kitchen to make Brendon (the kid) some lunch, and I left him with the TV remote. Now mind you, this kid is 4 years old. I came back into the room and he's on youtube typing "Creapypasta" into the search bar.

People need to understand the difference between liking a character, and liking the person who plays the character. I've seen too many people being attacked for saying "I like this character." People shouldn't have to specify "I like this character, not the actor"

No Kings Day /06.14.2025/

This is a map of all of the No Kings Day protest locations. Remember, keep yourself safe during some of these protests. Some of them have started to turn violent, and in some cities people HAVE been sprayed with fire hoses. This is a day for peaceful protesting, let's keep it that way. WE (the protestors) should not be the ones to escalate.

The Book-Elephant in the room

TW: Mentions of Rape, Sexual Violence, Stalking, Human Trafficing, Dark Romance Plots, Abusive Behavior.

Haunting Adeline and the other books in that series is gaining popularity amongst booktok and young people again. "Why is this a problem, young people are atleast reading and not staring at their phones." one might say, and to that....here's my reply.

Starting with Haunting Adeline:

The book has it's many flaws, including romanticization of rape/stalking/abuse manipulative behavior. (Example: The MMC named Zade is a stalker who engages in non-consensual and abusive behavior with the MFC.

There is graphic content that does absolutely nothing for the plot. The book is horribly written as is, but most of it is extremely dark, or extremely violent sexual content. These parts of the story are mostly for shock value, rather than telling the audience a meanigful story.

I understand that this book is a "Dark Romance", but many readers have said that the book blurs the line between consensual dark fantasy and non-consensual abuse, Consent is often outright disregarded, which can be harmful to readers, especially without adequate content warnings, and The plot has been described as disjointed or secondary to the romantic/erotic elements, which can make it feel unstructured or superficial.

The downplaying. People on tiktok talk about this book more now since it is gaining popularity. But they fail to mention the darker points of this book. I recommend doing research on this book instead of just trusting the opinion of a 13-15 year old on Tiktok.

Moving to Hunting Adeline:

Hunting Adeline has been described as more graphic than Haunting Adeline. The book has many violent scenes of rape human trafficking, and some scenes start to cross the line into borderline trauma porn.

The romance between the MMC and the MFC in the book turns into a abusive and posessive relationship, but readers are supposed to treat it as something that is normal and accepted. The book glorifies toxic/abusive behavior in relationships in the name of love.

The book has more blurred boundaries than Haunting Adeline. The book disregards warnings for sexual violence and other non-con behavior. There is a specific scene in the book where Adeline is emotionally unavailable, and the MMC takes advantage of her, the scene quickly turns into outright non-con rape.

Repetitive writing. The book offers many repeated scenes throughout chapters, and lacks any major plot. There is overuse of dark language without deeper meaning, and inconsistent tone (swinging from graphic horror to raunchy sex to attempted poetic prose, sometimes all within a few pages).

With all of this being said, if you still choose to read Haunting/Hunting Adeline, please keep these warnings in mind. If you want to do any additional research all you have to do is look up "reviews" or "warnings" or even go to Chat GPT. I personally have never read the books, I just read through articles, along with reviews from Goodreads. Please do not trust tiktok reviews, no matter if they seem factual. Please look for credible sources, especially with a book that delves into topics that are mentioned throughout the list, and in the TW mentions above. Haunting/Hunting Adeline can be purchased on Amazon, and checked out in your local library. Haunting and Hunting Adeline are recommended for people over the age of 15+ years.

Well I'm not dead yet, so that's something I guess

Hello and welcome to my little sliver of this big interconnected thing called the internet. My name is Juno, I am a 22 year old college student studying social work.

I recently have been getting into some of my old phases (Marble Hornets and Creepypasta mostly) and so I decided to make this blog to share some of my ideas/become part of the tumblr creepypasta and MH fandom. I also made a Roleplay blog for Brian find him here: @brian-totheark

What to expect from this blog: Anything CRP/MH related. Me talking about my many different interests aside from CRP/MH. Me just talking about myself in general (Kinda like some get to know me posts/what's currently going on in my life posts.)

Since it is summer my work load isn't as heavy as it is during the school year, but I will still have some things to complete because I am doing summer classes in order to be able to graduate early. My posting times/days will differ between how much time I have to spare.
