Yeah I saw it. It was not a pleasant surprise to be scrolling and then hearing my own voice, especially in an edit made by an actual child. That type of stuff makes me rethink keeping my content free because it grosses me out seeing kids interact with my content even when I try my best to avoid it. I'm happy that many of the people I follow didn't allow weird people to discourage them from raising awareness, I know how draining it can get to constantly be bombarded by hatred from randos. Honestly it kinda grossed me out to see how some people in this fandom (tlou) act when people within it care about things other than fanfic. These people heard about the strike that Biasn called for, answered that call, and did their best to help. I hope that everyone continues despite the weirdness, and I hope that if there is another strike, that everyone will do better.

As the strike ends tomorrow, I’d like to remind everyone to please keep continue talking about Palestine, we’re at a tipping point here. Please feel free and encouraged to talk about your interests once more but DO NOT forget about Palestine!! Talk about Palestine as much as you did during the strike! Continuing boycotting! We are the only voice Palestinians have. Why are some of y'all using your time to harass fanfiction authors that have chosen to take a break (for a single week, mind you) about posting under the tags that they know will bring awareness to their posts? If you are that desperate to read your porn, just...look for it? And also, if you have the time to bother people, you should also have time to participate in the strike. It ends tomorrow, you'll get your precious porn back in a bit, excuse them for caring about the lives of innocent people. I genuinely have to remember that there is no point in arguing with Zionists sometimes. The urge to yell at them and pull up statistics and actual historical facts and get angry and call them heartless racist fucks that don't deserve an inkling of peace to their faces is always so incredibly strong, but then I have to remember that they are usually very well aware. They just don't give a shit.

They are so deeply rooted into their beliefs that even when the evidence of the genocide in Gaza is right in front of them they will just use like 15 different and invalid excuses as to why they think that what Israel is doing is okay. Not only that but they will try to paint Israel as the victim as if I haven't seen videos of IOF soldiers bragging about killing babies and posing with the confiscated canes of disabled/elderly Palestinians with humungous smiles on their faces. As if I didn't see a video of a Palestinian child, begging their cat not to eat them when they die. Not if. When. As if Israel hasn't fully taken out entire bloodlines. As if Israelis themselves arent posting videos mocking the deaths of Palestinian people while wearing racist caricature costumes.

I remember seeing someone say something along the lines of "A land without a people, for a people without land" in defence of Israels actions, but Palestine already had a people when "Israelis" got there. Those people are Palestinians. The same Palestinians that they displaced and stole pretty much every single part of their "culture" from.

"Israel" does not "have a right to defend itself" from the resistance of Palestinian people because "Israel" doesn't and never has had a right to fucking exist.

I just was talking to my friend about this and I'm sure plenty of people have explained it already but it's just so insane to me that the Seraphites are really meant to represent Palestinians IRL and Neil just thought "Yup, people will believe this".

Before I knew anything about the conflict, when I was playing the game I was just like "Well duh, anyone would be ready to fight tooth and nail against a group that broke a peace treaty and started gutting/hanging their people" but when I realized what it was supposed to represent I just found it a bit funny? Not funny "haha" but funny weird in the way that he tried to make it so that the actions of Israel (the WLF) are justified through his inaccurate, racist, and Islamophobic, representation of Palestinians (Seraphites). And honestly, even the WLF's actions against the Seraphites are still very much not excused in the fictional context of the game, because there is never a reason to gun down children.

There's so much more I could rant about on this topic, but for now, I will just say: Don't buy anything from Naughty Dog. Don't watch the show, and if you must for some reason - become a pirate. Neil Drunkman has donated the money he makes from these games to Israel's genocide before. The strike may end on the 25th but do not stop talking about Palestine. Pay attention so that you are aware of when the next strike takes place. Don't forget, don't ignore.

Also, let this be a reminder that while you may enjoy certain media, and while that's fine, you have to be critical of the media you consume to be sure that you aren't getting caught up in propaganda.

there is nothing in that desert. no houses, no food, no water, nothing. that would be the final destination for them. this is one of the most well documented broadcasted genocides the world has ever seen with such damning evidence that makes it hard to even consider that the civilians are all evil, right? zionists say “there are really no innocent people in gaza”, and i look at them in confusion. the fucking babies who were just born aren’t innocent? they don’t even have names yet! the people in palestine are one of the most resilient group of people I’ve ever seen. even with experiencing something as terrible as this, they seem to still remain steadfast, which is a greatly admirable trait.
