can i just rant for a mintue
I was catching up on Scarlet Witch comics recently and with the whole introduction of Amaranth I can't just help but think how much better it would have been if Wanda had just gotten Luna as an apprentice. I just hate when they introduce a new character and expect everyone to care about them right away. People already care about Luna. She has history. And maybe I'm biased because I love her, but I still think it would have been better
different types of magic could be introduced, with Luna's powers being more moon magic based
you could explore Wanda and Pietro's relationship with Luna as a bridge between them
Luna can literally do almost everything Amaranth can
You could finally look into Luna as a character in her own right and look at her trauma and what holds her back or pushes her forward
also i would really have enjoyed it more if Wanda was actually teaching magic instead of just being like "wow Amaranth has such natural magic talent and is so powerful scary". It would be cool to see someone start to use magic from the bottom up with absolutely no experience
But Marvel hates her and wants everyone to forget she exists. But, you know they can still bring Luna in. Amaranth left at the end of Scarlet Witch (2025). From what I gather she's now going to be part of the New Champions. She can finish her story there. As for Wanda, she seems to be looking for an apprentice, but no one is working out. Personally, I would bring Luna in for this. But I never get my hopes up about this because I know no one at Marvel even remembers Luna :(

So I know you have extensively talking about luna being a superhero. But I do have a question for you. Do you think luna could or would be a good super villain? I've been wondering this for a while since reading all of your posts about Luna being a superhero so I just want to know. Do you think Luna would or could be a good super villain? Or do you think she you'd more be like her family? Where sometimes they're evil. Sometimes there's just damage and other times you don't actually know what they're trying to do. I would like to know your thoughts. I've been wondering it for a while.
Thank you
Oooo great question
While I definitely lean towards her being a superhero in the main universe, I am not immune to the attractiveness of villain AUs. And Marvel comics are full of AUs. I do think she would make a very interesting villain because I think something really drastic would have to happen for her to actively become a villain. Because of the nature of her empath powers, I think she naturally has a very strong moral compass since she can empathize with people and feel when she does something that hurts someone else. But, I think these powers also make her susceptible to becoming caught up in other people's feelings, which could potentially push her to madness/villainy. I do think it would be super interesting to see her become almost Maximus-like mad and then take his place as the black sheep in the Inhuman family (though I do think she's already a black sheep in her family because of her not being fully Inhuman).
Anyways, I definitely agree that she has potential for villainy, but personally, I don't see her going that way in the main universe. I think she could definitely be one the edge of it sometimes, but I think she pulls herself back. But a villainous Magneto family is always fun, so I love, love, love the concept with her in it.

franklin should be shorter than valeria when they're all grown up. tbh. like he's almost an adult in canon rn n was shorter than wolverine im just saying. it's fun if he's got the same stocky build i always imagine sue & johnny with and valeria gets reed's awkward lankiness.

This artwork is horrifying. Franklin looks like a short forty year old man when he’s supposed to be a toddler 😭

Just funny to me how, for a comic character, Val Richards has actually aged more or less in real time. She was born in 2002 and is now in her teens. This is especially hilarious when compared to her brother, who was born in 1968 and didn't hit age seven until Val was born. Even after that, Franklin still ever barely aged. Despite the seven year age gap, the two of them are often depicted as only being a couple of years apart, and the gap seems to be getting shorter and shorter. The current run has them in the same year of high school when he should really be at college.
