There are many disadvanges to being a self taught artist. The one I find the most frustating is having to learn art programs without any help....thank you youtube for the many free turtorial... its probably obvious I am self taught. Artis who were able to go to art school or get some sort of formal edcation with a mentor have a much more professional look. I am envous of those that were able to go to art school and get a mentor. I have taken many art lesson in high school but without a mentor you are just another small fish in the vast sea of art and it sucks.
