Not many things are bringing me joy lately, I’m going through a bit of a rough patch and it’s probably why I’ve been obsessing over The Handmaid’s Tale and how horrible that last season was. I’ve been trying to detach myself from it, I stopped my re-watch and I am trying not to engage with social media posts I don’t agree with.

One thing that’s been uplifting and joyful is reading and writing fanfics. It’s comforting and it’s easing the pain of my favorite ship and favorite character going up in flames (literally).

My current favorite is Until You See Me by @just-b-wilde I’ve also read all their THT fics 😌 I literally kick my feet and giggle with every update.

If you have any Osblaine or alternate ship fanfics to recommend please comment or reblog 🫶🏽 I started looking on Ao3 but it keeps crashing on my phone.

Also, someone at my work said “don’t let the bastards grind you down” yesterday and I fired up Teams so fast to message them 😅

I feel like everyone involved in making Season 6 of The Handmaid’s Tale was just fucking tired of their own show.

It’s obvious that for the past 2 years they barely thought about the plot and completely forgot the core message, the character arcs, and everything Nick had done.

That’s why we ended up with this mess. They were all just dragging this dying horse to the finish line.

So they handed off some of the creative control to the actors, letting them influence their characters’ storylines (which is ridiculous! But apparently they didn’t care at all)

And Elizabeth, who once pretended to be an Osblaine fan, just completely glitched out. It’s like she suddenly started hating Nick, forgetting everything he did in the earlier seasons. She rewrote his entire character in her mind and since she’s a director too, she went and messed with the script and twisted the meaning of so many scenes.

They all lost it (except Max , he was like wtf is happening??? We saw it in the interviews). But somehow we’re the ones being told we’re crazy, even though we remember every single scene, every decision, every look.

They forgot the story they were telling. They don’t even care. I’ve never seen writing and execution this lazy. Never

And the reason I’ll never watch anything these people create again is simple, it’s pure disrespect to the audience. This was terribly executed work that brought awful emotions, and I’m not giving them another chance to mess with me emotionally

And I know there are thousands of people out there who feel the same way.

I honestly thought that after Veronica Mars, I would never see a worse ending in any show. But Hulu knows how to outdo itself — and yes, I'm looking at you, The Handmaid’s Tale.

What story of your favorite ship disappointed you the most?

Well, any story that ends sadly or badly is a bit of a letdown. But sometimes it fits into the overall picture of the story. But not in this case, the biggest disappointment for me was definitely the ending of Logan and Veronica's story.

I'm not sure when I first saw the series, it was 2005 or 2006, I just know I was in high school then. And I loved that series and I loved Veronica and Logan. The end of the third season was a disappointment then… but maybe it would be better if it stayed that way, when I know what came later...

In 2014, the movie came out and their story got another chance, I was so happy. And then came the fateful year 2019 and another season of the series. I was looking forward to seeing it. I was waiting for all the episodes to be released… and then I found out what happened. And I never, NEVER watched that season. Even though I loved the series for many years.

The sad ending to their story was completely unnecessary and stupid in my opinion. It was like shit thrown in the faces of all their fans. I will never forgive the creators how they ruined their story like that.
