Oh! Sorry, but to expand on the romanticised kin thing, there has to be a past life where we’ve been a fly or cell or plant, right? But maybe we don’t remember much or anything from those lives because they’re not very intelligent, and therefore easy to forget, if that makes sense. And maybe polykin is having lots of intelligent past lives.

yeah yeah yeah!!! so the more intelligent the past life the more likely we are to remember them! Which is why people end up being horsekin or crowkin or these smart ‘romanticized’ creatures!

What if the reason most otherkin identify as something heavily romanticised is because... well, we must have had many past lives right? So maybe we are subconsciously drawn to the ‘kin that felt most important or intelligent to us, and matches our personality best?
