UNITED STRESS IN AMERICA
This is for those that have been following and supported my work and everything about myself on social media and in person over the last several years.
First off, Happy New Year, obviously. Secondly, I sincerely would like to apologize and take full absolute responsibility for the Facebook status I typed on New Years Day. It was definitely uncalled for and totally irresponsible and immature in my part. This was out of negative sentiment and feeling at the time I typed that.
I drove to Palm Springs for two hours on New Years Day just to escape Los Angeles and to forget everything, as well as everyone, for the day so that I can clear my head and start a fresh new state of mind for the new year. I had no agenda as I got to Palm Springs. I was thinking of during some rides there, but instead I parked at some empty lot and wounded up sleeping there for three to four hours. When I woke up, I then started driving back to Los Angeles only to get stuck in traffic in Cabazon on the 10 Freeway for at least an hour. I even went around the Morongo Casino parking close by and it was also tough to get out of that shit with a lot of people escaping. During the heavy traffic, then suddenly, every single unfavorable things just raced around inside me, which then prompted me to write “Fuck New Years Day” without thinking, as a way of releasing that stress. I didn’t want to write something within that nature, cause that felt like I cussed out some woman at her birthday party in front of her family and friends.
I took a month off Facebook to reflect on what happened, and to not see the over-used “shared posts”, washed up memes, copy and pasted quotes, and snapchat filtered selfies that has been on my newsfeed everyday. I then focused on my work, from driving a picking up people everyday for at least 8 hours to post-production on editing images, photographing events, street photography and some photosessions this past month. Yes, there were several hurdles and distractions on the way, but I always try my best to stay over them every day.
Of course, we got a brand new President of the United States. Since he was sworn in (and even before he got sworn in), the new President has been doing a lot of work with a different executive order signed that has gotten many people for various parts of the world upset and frustrated. There were so many protests and rallies this past 11 days that it felt like were in the mid to late 1960’s again in terms of activism and speaking out towards the new President and his viewpoints.
The whole thing is surreal. That’s all I can say about this. I just really hope that many people realize and put to consideration on how that they cannot always get what they want right away and that with the amount of time and work that’s put in to achieve whatever you desire. There will always be someone else that will think and do otherwise in anything that you believe in. You can challenge that person and prove him wrong, or just walk away and move on to something else. Because just standing or sitting there and sucking up to whatever shit that person says while you suck it up and kiss their ass is gonna make you miserable with nothing in the future once that person is no longer existing in your life.
As you get older, its gonna be tough and heavy. I’m still kinda young, but hopefully all the challenges, the negativity, the various work experiences and shit that I’ve gone through and over with the past several years in society will make the future look like second nature. Yes, there are those close to you that will piss you off, just don’t let that get into you and find something else.
Normally I don’t like to type these long ass personal dramatic paragraphs, but I’m just being as real as I am. I might be a talented photographer (actually I am) but I made a shitload of mistakes and fuck-ups as an adult and I’m not embarrassed or ashamed to express and admit it. I’ve even hit up people constantly like crazy on purpose and I’m tired of doing that every time because I know that they’re also older and got personal lives to manage. That’s all in the past. Hopefully, society takes a close look at their mistakes and fuck-ups so that they do not have to repeat and duplicate it again, and I’m working very hard to not repeat that shit again as I look and know forward to make a difference for others and to produce excellent professional photographs.
I’m glad this month is over. Here’s to the next 11 months to get through this year. Thank you for your time reading this.

NEVER FORGET... OR FORGET IT
I got cheated on again, but not by a person.
Actually, persons are related. Several persons. Most of them I don’t even personally know.
And I do learn about these persons, its either through a headline or a trending topic. Based on whatever the said or did that affected their lives and others lives. Some of those persons that we all know but not personally didn’t even live too long and had their lives ended abruptly. We hear about these everyday though the past year, that it seems as if we’re already adjusted and not surprised to tragedy.
That’s one of the reasons why I got cheated on last year.
I really did have a great fantastic 2016. As a matter a fact, the photography I worked on in 2016 was way beyond the best and better than the previous years I did photography. The photographs, the prints, the photosessions, using a full frame camera and photographing in RAW format for the first time, Instagram meetups, and getting recognized by the big three television stations in Los Angeles for my images through their social media pages. If you’ve been follow up on my Instagram profile, keep in mind that most of these photos were not very easy to take. Some of them weren’t even planned. But looking back at my photographs I took feels very rewarding.
But despite my fantastic work, it was all taken in 2016. Many people want to forget everything that happened that year and they don’t want to be reminded of it. I don’t blame them though. It’s like they want to see my work from 2015 more than 2016. I had all these great photographs that I put a lot of work in and it was taken in a year that had cause a lot of disruption and attention in various negative aspects. I really thought that 2008, which was also a Summer Olympic and Election year, was worse. With instant gratification on social media and communication devices nowadays, 2016 made you want to escape everything that is being thrown at, like a hail storm.
I know that 2016 is already over, but let me remind y’all of everything that we survive through this past year:
Election 2016, Brad and Angelina’s divorce, the Quesalupa, Adidas being more relevant and popular, livestreaming on Facebook and Instagram, Samsung’s mobile devices exploding, Wells Fargo bankers opening millions of fake accounts to meet their sales target, the OJ Simpson trial being revived in two different in-depth programs, Poke bowls, Pokemon Go, the mannequin challenge, The Life of Pablo, everything that Donald Trump said but not did, everything that Hilary Clinton did but not said, Kenneth Bone’s 15 minutes of fame, professional sports in Cleveland, the retirements of Vin Scully, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, David Ortiz and Peyton Manning, more sequels and remakes, Britain leaving the UN, Snapchat Spectacles, Colin Kapernick, Los Angeles Rams, Playboy Magazine eliminating photography of nude models, everything that happened at the Dakota Access Pipeline, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, Kevin Durant going from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Golden State Warriors, Disney’s Moana, the Chainsmokers, Stranger Things, that weird anti-superhero movie with Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and the fake news.
As for myself, aside from photography, I went through a lot this year, even though it didn’t seem much. I started the year still working at Six Flags, then I left in the middle of February to find a more stable job because Six Flags was open on weekends at the beginning of the year. So I became a car washer again at Galpin Ford, which I also did there for a month in the summer of 2012. Then after two weeks, I transferred to Galpin Honda to also do washing and that’s where I started getting infatuated with auto detailing a lot more. I wasn’t a Galpin employee because the car washing and detailing was operated by another outside company. However, during my time there, I got along with the sales people and the service techs there. I tried to do the same with my detailing co-workers, which did work, but not with the managers. We tried getting in sync and I didn’t work out from their end, so I left in July and got I back into doing Uber again since then. Driving with Uber took care of me for the rest of 2016 and I had the fortunate privilege to meet various kinds of different, interesting people (some I’ve picked up can be very uninteresting, but that’s in every job) and drive all around Southern California. Hell, I even went inside many high class gated communities, including the one that Kobe Bryant lives in at Newport Coast, something that not everyone gets to do.
But that was in 2016. That year is gone and done. Forget everything about that year (except my photography tho) and start thinking ahead of new goals and new people to meet and establish relationships with. The best people ever are the ones who read this whole entire piece up to this point. That is what I want to see more. Less likes (even liking a comment on Instagram is kinda fucked up) more comments. For reals.
Again, many thanks for reading this. Make 2017 a very great year. Don’t be a fucking chauvinistic asshole. Be very kind to others and respect their personal space. Do what you absolutely love and continue to preserve and grow on your passion, whether it’s a person you love or a something you enjoyed doing as a child. Stay blessed and take care.
