So I know blizzard doesn’t give us any lore, but I had a thought about symmetra’s new ult. I like to think changes in her kit reflect her adapting her technology to what’s been going around her and -

What if she developed her giant shield because she felt guilty for how her actions indirectly led Vishkar to cause massive destruction to the innocents living in the Favela?

so if you're posting again how do you feel about her rework? Have some good games?

my Big Thinks on her rework i think overall are pretty positive? she almost feels like an entirely new character, complete with having to basically re-learn her

i absolutely lover her new ult the most weirdly enough; i think it has the same game saving power that Ult Rez did or was intended to be, and her voicework and animations for it are fuckin stellar

i adore the ability to launch turrets, and am glad they seem to want to do the same for torb in a way bc its really fun and all the rework done to turrets specifically make them much more viable to use (i think even in 2.0 symm with 6 they still felt a little, made to not work as intended?) i feel like theyre nudging playstyle a specific way but considering the changes to her primary and alt fire i dont think its such a big issue now

i LOVE LOVE LOVE the changes to alt fire bc ive always been a big Bubble Blower type symm; primary had some getting used to but after learning to work with shields i think symm has good tank crushing skills again and i love that

A love a lot of small details about Symmetra but one of my favorites is just… the way she says her new ult is ready.

The one line where she says “Photon Barrier is ready for deployment!” in such a proud way. It’s ever so slightly smug, which makes it better when you get it in like the first 45 seconds of the match.

She’s always so proud of her creations… the way she says her teleporter is online has such a showy air to it. What’s up, fucker, I just made an actual teleporter out of hard light. You wanna use it?

“Teleporter online… I have opened the path” what a prideful, dramatic bitch. I love her.

nothing quite like having 4 gold medals and being on fire within the first two minutes of the match and your team being like “idk if thats working switch to mercy :/” because nobody has the common sense of picking a fucking healer when the teams needs it
