Parents/Family of the Danganronpa Cast HCs: Kirumi Tojo

Round Two of parent headcanons! This time it’s Kirumi Tojo! Hope y’all enjoy!

TW: with all the fluff that is this family, there are themes of self loathing, depression/anxiety, and the slightest bit of biphobia so if that makes y’all overly uncomfortable, this really isn’t for you! Maybe I’ll make a censored version on day so you guys can enjoy the fluffiness without triggering anything

Also spoilers for V3 Chapter 2 and the very end.

Like before, let's start with her dad!:

His name is Tsukuyomi Tojo, but uses Yomi as a nickname

Before he became a stay at home dad, he was an event coordinator, he stilled dabbled in it even after Kirumi’s birth

Despite his name meaning ‘god of the moon’, he is the legit personification of sunshine and happiness and rainbows

Smelled of vanilla and sugar cookies

He was the most supportive and loving person you’d ever meet, he loved everyone and everything he ever came across!

He’s always wanted a ferret, but never got a ferret

Has two brothers

LOVES to dance with people, whether it be his parents, brothers, wife or daughter!

He had a pretty bad flaw of trusting people too easily and too quickly, even when the person is obviously trying to do him wrong

Plus he’s a pushover

Has always been an ugly crier, like really ugly

Now for her mom!:

Her name is Kumiko Tojo, her maiden name being Nishimura

She works as the head maid at the Hinata Estate

Suffers from severe depression and anxiety that she is getting the proper help for and is getting better, but it’s still hard to live her life sometimes

Is bisexual but can be very ashamed of it because of the bullying it got her and when it was exposed she was in love with her best friend, Michi (who is straight)

She doesn’t seem like it, but Kumiko’s great at holding herself in a verbal fight, especially with her boss/Michi’s husband, Mazuko (more on them in the Hajime post)

Her hair goes down to her knees, but it’s usually in a bun or braid

Is an only child

Now for the couple HCs! (I love these two so much omg):

Kumiko met Tsukuyomi at a pride festival she was attending (one of her friends convinced her to go to make herself more secure in her identity since there would be a bunch of supporting people there, he was there being the ultimate ally and helping people), she tripped over him as he was helping someone with a banner and got paint all of herself

Before she could start apologizing for ruining the banner, Yomi took her to get a pair of new clothes and shoes 

As soon as he realized it was her first pride festival, he took her around the entire event, even brought her her first ever bi flag! She still has it hanging on her closet door, even if it’s a bit beaten up now

At the end of the event, Yomi wrote his number on Kumiko’s arm and told her if she ever need him, she should call!

And she did

After a while of just being friends and awkward pining on Kumiko’s end, they went on their first date! It was a bit awkward since Kumiko was terrified she’d make a fool of herself at the nice restaurant and Yomi wouldn’t even want to be friends anymore but luckily he really didn’t care!

Yomi loved messing with Kumiko’s long black hair and styling it in any way possible, especially with pastel colored flowers and hair accessories 

She always felt a bit too clingy and constantly asked him if she was, he always said she wasn’t

He LOVED spoiling her, even though she didn’t think she deserved it (or him tbh)

When picking out an engagement ring with his brothers, Yomi was going on about how it HAD to be absolutely perfect for his ‘beautiful long haired moonlight fairy goddess’, as he put it

He got scammed by the jeweler

He cried about it for a good afternoon when Kumiko’s mom (who’s also a jeweler) pointed it out

But Kumiko liked the ring so they kept it, though Mama Nishimura replaced the jewels on it

They both ugly cried on the wedding day

Yomi bought a ‘I love my bi wife’ shirt and happily showed it off to anyone who asked about it, with Kumiko’s permission of course 

He once fought a random biphobe at one of Kumiko’s high school reunions

Kumiko liked to mess around with Yomi’s hands, she just found them neat

I now wanna write a one shot about them, anyone interested?

And now for the parent/family headcanons!

When Kumiko fought out she was pregnant, she internally panicked and hid the pregnancy test thinking Yomi would H A T E this

Yomi found it on accident while looking for something in the closet, then hit his head against the closet shelf as he tripped out of excitement

Insert Kumiko finding him and Yomi ugly happy crying as his head bled

Kumiko was treated like an absolute QUEEN during her pregnancy with Kirumi

More ugly crying on the day of Kirumi’s birth

Kirumi had a terrible speech impediment until she was 13-14, Kumiko once punched a bully because of it

Kirumi used to hid behind her dad at events he was asked to host 

Kirumi and Hajime were actually childhood friends due to Kumiko’s job!

Kumiko likes to brush Krumi’s hair for her after a long day of work and vice versa

Yomi was usually in charge of the stereotypical “mom” things since Kumiko got up early for work which he LOVED

Kirumi joined in on the styling Kumiko’s hair party w/ Yomi

Kumiko would used to walk in on Yomi dancing w/ Kirumi to children’s songs when she was younger

Kirumi was a very well behaved child so she was very rarely punished, and even we she was, it was usually just a short grounding or time in time out corner

Kirumi loves both of her parents, but she will admit she’s a bit more attached to her mother due to something

They were a very happy family until the something I was referring to happened

Notice how I’ve been referring to anything to do with Tsukuyomi in the past tense? There’s a reason for that.... but I’ll right that for later. 

Let’s just say... Ryoma wouldn’t have died the way he did if Kirumi knew anything about the Tsukuyomi Tojo case.

Uh theory time-

TW: I mention Korekiyo’s canon backstory, not my rewrite

Spoiler Warning for Trial 3 of V3 and Rantaro’s backstory

So, has no one else thought that Korekiyo got to Rantaro’s sisters before he could fine them? Is this original content?

Like, how has Rantaro not found a single sister in all this time? And like, I’m pretty sure Korekiyo strictly kills girls for his sister so for all we he could’ve gotten one of them in his travels for his job. And I’m 99.9% sure that he would find “worthy” girls (whatever that means, all we know is that it’s not Miu or Maki) in different countries, and some could be ethnically Japanese but not be in Japan. Plus I’m pretty sure Tenko would’ve been disposed of if Korekiyo didn’t have 3 other people in the room to watch him take her body and dispose of it properly, so that could account for why no bodies were found.

I dunno mates, I just randomly thought about this one day and wanted to share. Maybe I’ll expand on it another day if any of y’all like this.

Parents/Family of the Danganronpa Cast HCs: Tsumugi Shirogane

Hey everyone reading this! This is the first of probably many posts about my headcanons for the parents/family of the Danganronpa cast (since honestly I feel like they should get more recognition)!  Also for V3, it will be apart of their ‘fabricated pasts’ (or actual pasts, I don’t think we’ll actually ever know because NWP could also be involved and who says it can’t come up with pregame audition videos and they were actually ultimates, plus pregame really confuses me lol).  Today I’ve got Tsumugi Shirogane so I hope you enjoy this take!

Let’s do her dad first!:

His name is Kazue Shirogane

He works as a mortician, and contrary to popular belief, he is quite the happy and cheery man!

Tsumugi gets her hair and eyesight from him, poor guy is very nearsighted

Absolutely loves getting dressed up for special occasions and events, he nearly has a pair of glasses and tie for anything

Casually talks about dead bodies at dinner, his wife and daughter have gotten used to it, but no so much the in-laws 

Kazue absolutely LOVES anything chocolate

He is an only child

Tsumugi also gets her nerdiness from him, he owns a lot of merch from the anime of his time (she stole some for her room, he doesn’t really mind though)

Now for her mom!:

Her name is Nozomi Shirogane, her maiden name being Yukimura

She works as a seamstress at her own shop!

Not the best cook, but she tries

Also loves getting all fancy, often making her own dresses/pant suits/etc.

Nozomi is the eldest of three! She loves her brother and sister and their to absolute bits

Also quite the cheerful person!

She absolutely ADORES handcrafted soaps, and she’s learning how to making her own!

Has no problem doing dangerous stuff, especially when it comes to defending someone

Let’s throw in some couple headcanons for funsies!:

Kazue and Nozomi met during a college tour, and they hit it off quite quickly!

Their first date was to a local cafe, Nozomi says that she realized she was in love with Kazue was when he was freaking out about how cute his cat coffee was while eating his two chocolate cookies

Kazue realized the same thing when she jumped into a river to get his glasses that a bully threw in to taunt him about his terrible eyesight (he made sure to make it up to her!)

Kazue proposed to her on their 5th year dating anniversary at a beautiful garden in Nozomi’s hometown

They enjoy sitting by a nice fire and drinking hot cocoa

Nozomi makes all of Kazue’s ties, his favorite is the she gifted him for their first anniversary

Nozomi loves making gifts for her husband, it’s her love language!

Kazue likes to surprise his wife with little things like flowers, a pair of shoes she was eyeing the last time they were at a store, or, his own personal way to show he likes someone, chocolates!

Kazue made the sign for the clothing shop even if he’s not the best painter, Nozomi still has it hanging outside the shop door to this day

Nozomi actually started to watch some TV shows just to bond with Kazue more and ended up really enjoying some

He just randomly picks her up sometimes and twirls her around because why not, she really doesn’t mind

All in all, Kazue and Nozomi love each other very, very much and would do anything for the other one, even the stupid stuff

And now for the parenting and general family HCs!:

They both freaking the fuck out in excitement once they found out they were having a baby

Kazue did a LOT of reading on how to be a dad, so did Nozomi

They named her Tsumugi after Kazue’s grandmother who passed away when he was in high school

Tsumugi was born a week early and they both kinda freaked since they didn’t know if anything was going to be wrong, she was their first and only child after all! Luckily (for them) she was fine

Tsumugi couldn’t tell you which parent she likes better, even if you asked

Nozomi loved to dress up Tiny-mugi in custom, handmade outfits, and Tiny-mugi loved getting dressed up

While Kazue was at work and Tsumugi wasn’t old enough for school, and after school, Nozomi would take her to her shop and, when old enough, would teach her how to sew in her spare time

Tsumugi’s uncle (Nozomi’s younger brother) used to call her ‘Chompy’ because when she was little, she would bite people to get their attention

As for discipline, they did the usual things (time outs, sentencing to the room, later one taking her phone away, etc.) but nothing very too rough

Nozomi was terrified when her daughter started to go to school as Tsumugi didn’t grow out of her biting habits quite yet, luckily Kazue was able to convince her they wouldn’t get a call from the principal, and they didn’t!

Kazue introduced Tsumugi to anime and manga at a young age, and they’ve bonded over it over the years!

Nozomi once almost attacked one of Tsumugi’s bullies because they made fun of her cosplay in front of her, Kazue had to hold her back

To make a long story short, Nozomi and Kazue are great parents and love their daughter very much and tired their best to make Tsumugi a functional member of society (depending on how you see being a killing game mastermind, they either succeed in that endeavor or not)

I think that’s all I have about them for now, if any questions arise from this or future posts, don’t be afraid to ask! I think the next set up is either going to be Kirumi’s or Ibuki’s parents, or my Korekiyo backstory rewrite (which I will be using for this series since I refuse to do anything with his canon backstory beside taking some aspects for my rewrite because I don’t want to totally erase it) and they should be coming out soon or later depending on how much school work I have lol.
